  • I signed up for WW along with several co-workers. I've been on it for four weeks and have lost weight; however I don't like the point system and still have not figured it out. I actually place all of my food in MFP then figure out the points using the end of day total for my carbs, protein, fiber and fat. Once the 10 weeks…
  • I'll slice an apple and sprinkle a little bit of splenda brown sugar on and bake for about 15-20 minutes. If I don't have the time for that or I'm too hungry, then I might eat an apple sliced with some peanut butter, or a bit of yogurt, sugar free fudge bar or sherbet. In winter, I make the sugar free hot cocoa.
  • I go everyone alone. Not that I don't have friends because the majority of the time I do go with friends but on the occasion when I want to go somewhere and everyone else are iffy about it, I just go alone. I use to work weird hours and missed out on the Friday night socializing so I would go to a movie at noon or so and…
  • Welcome - I'm in Columbus :)
  • Welcome! Feel free to add me :)
  • American - but my mother is German and my father is Irish but their parents were French and English...so basically I'm a bit of a mut :D
  • I have this problem too - mostly on Saturday though but not so much on Sunday. I like the idea of weighing in on one of the weekend days :)
  • Thank you - this really helps. I think besides what somebody said about not depriving myself of the occasional chocolate or crisps, to eat in moderation. But also to stay focused on my goal. I just read where another MFP member was having a hard time focusing, thus failing. I need to come here more often for motivation and…
  • Thank you for this post - this seems to be my problem too. Just staying focused on your goal maybe? I might give it a try :)
  • I use to HAVE to have Starbucks or Caribou coffee to get through my mornings but after I added up the cost for a week's worth of coffee, I stopped drinking it. But occasionally - like once every other week - I will allow myself a treat and get a grande skinny mocha or latte - which comes out to approx. 220 calories, which…
  • Hi there! I've been on MFP for awhile but am just now starting to use it regularly. I quite like it and it's very easy to hop on and log calories/workouts. :)
  • Two days ago, I weighed myself for the first time in a long time. I was on vacation for two weeks and knew I lost some weight, so I decided to check. Other than that, I don't weigh myself often. I know I'm losing when I have to go down another size in clothes ;)
  • I eat over 500 calories for either my lunch or dinner meal. But I know I will be burning that amount of calories when I go to the gym later. I think the 1200 or 1250 calorie goals on here are realistic - plus you can eat a little more as long as you exercise. I don't see how you can continuously eat 500 calories per day…
  • Hi I'm new here but I wondered about the 1200 calorie per day total too. I have noticed that when I put in my exercise, I'm allowed more calories. So since I burn between 500-700 calories per day, it's added to the amount I can eat. That helps me a lot because I do go over the 1200 but I've never gone past 1700. My job is…
