  • Me me, add me!
  • Some of the gummy ones are sugar free if you struggle with pills. I think the majority of pills try to use artificial sweetener now if it's needed at all.
  • I use mine regularly but there are things I eat regularly enough to guesstimate. I still check them now and again in case my potions have crept up
  • Likewise I gain during my period and sometimes I'll randomly gain after eating a good portion of vegetables - maybe 5g worth of cauliflower for example. It's only water (you can't gain 3lb of fat overnight) and fluctuations are natural, it will flush out again.
  • Those crackers look spectacular!! Do they get crisp? I shouldn't read this thread in the middle of the night, it makes me hungry...
  • The ingredients list looks good compared to what's out there, but the muffins I tried by this brand were boak so I wouldn't risk it again. I need to try the fathead recipe one day though!
  • I do the same thing with tomatoes in summer - winter ones in the U.K. Aren't worth the carbs to me. I like packs of marinated tofu as a snack. Also mozzarella with guacamole or pesto.
  • I'm always starving for the first few days of getting into ketosis. I keep my carbs under 20g and my fats high and eat whenever I am hungry. It can take about a week but once I'm solidly in ketosis the appetite reduction kicks in. I still don't restrict calories too much. I'm 5'2", largely sedentary due to health issues…
  • I eat low carb for reasons other than weight loss too - as I say I feel way better on low carb and it helps with a lot of health issues including reactive hypoglycaemia. However I know myself by now (I hope). I'm very much an emotional eater, spent most of my childhood tormented by bullies. I was overweight due to…
  • I wish we could get moon cheese in the U.K...
  • I have to say I definitely lose better/fasterwhen my fats are higher, macro wise, but I think it varies for everyone. I don't think eating less fat necessarily means your body gets it from your own storage - I mean it does if you're also low calorie. I'm not low calorie and lose well eating high fat - possibly my body…
  • Wow, you guys are making me glad I only read/post on this forum!
  • If you're in the U.K., our labels already show net carbs so you shouldn't subtract anything.
  • For me, depending how long I'm out of K for it can be between 4 and 10lbs but either way I can usually lose it in a little over a week
  • Low carb diets don't work if you treat yourself with high carb food. It's not the same as calorie counting where if your calories are low you can have some chocolate - low carb means sticking within your limit all the time, otherwise you'll just make yourself hungry and stall your progress. If you've had a great day, treat…
  • I just had a banana flavoured sugar free davinci soy milkshake today. All the banana haters around means more for me!
  • How long does it take you to get the 10lbs off, @gallowmere ? There are always people on low carb forums talking about how they had a massive cheat day and broke a stall/dropped 2lb the next day - it never happens for me. A cheat day means a 7lb gain and a week taking it off again. It's one of the more frustrating things…
  • I made onederland a few weeks ago, now I'm in 180sville - you'll be here in no time
  • I quite often find I drop a little extra weight after those random hungry days! Though I also get more hungry days when it is cold or I'm very tired. I always just let myself eat to satiety on hungry days, as long as it's all low carb it's never caused me a problem. Even for people who need to keep calories low in general…
  • U.K. Food labels already subtract the fibre so this label already shows you net carbs. I remember the old days on Atkins forums we constantly had uk newbies subtracting sugar and fibre from their labels and coming up with all kinds of low carb bread and sweets. The Atkins book never mentioned that it's all already done for…
  • I stay around 20g carbs a day. Carbs are sugar, that is what your body processes most carbs as. I have non-diabetic reactive hypoglycaemia and oats and a banana would send my blood sugar sky high before it crashed down again making me unwell and unnaturally hungry. Eating below 20g carbs keeps my blood sugar level.
  • People don't lose consistently every week even on starvation diets. Stalling for a week isn't stalling - it's an adjustment period. Bodies aren't perfect machines so even eating macros that say you should lose is no guarantee that you'll lose every week - what it does mean is that it's likely your losses will even out. I…
  • Way of eating Bullet proof coffee (coffee with a high fat content) Coconut oil (often in BPC) heavy whipping cream (like double cream)
  • I'm constantly freezing and don't sweat at all...
  • Good to hear you're feeling better x
  • You'll be fine, it's just like fasting over breakfast for a few days. Lots of people do that. It's quite normal for people not to want to eat while they're ill. You might see a little weight bounce back as you start eating properly again but it will go again. I hope you feel better ASAP.
  • I've had a very low meat week as my stomach has been feeling a bit sensitive, but today I had a MIGHTY craving. Stomach a bit growly now but I think that's because I inhaled a gigantic fillet in about 30 mins flat.
  • I know it would require putting them away for November but with 25 left you could use them for an advent calendar! I've been trying to think of low carb junk I actually eat. Previously I've used all the bars, low carb wraps, pork rinds, made mug cakes - this time I almost never feel like I need any of it, it's strange. I…
  • Chocolate.... Pork rind cake? That's a new one to me! Is there a recipe? Does it taste porky?
  • I know fasting is the big fad right now but you don't need to fast - it's like anything, it works for some people and doesn't work for others and you have medical issues that probably complicate things. If you feel better and stronger eating 3 meals a day then do that - I don't lose faster fasting!
