I could also use more friends to help motivate myself and others. Anyone feel free to add me

Along with what other people in this thread already mentioned, you can also apply castor oil mixed with another oil of your choice (coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, argan oil) to your hair directly. Leave it in your hair for an hour or two and then wash it out, and keep doing this a few times a week.

Eat one of them. Don't deprive yourself from delicious cookies. But only eat one, not ten :/

I also suffer from depression. It's hard. I'm trying to take on new hobbies to help with my depression instead of going to the fridge to have a snack. Lately I put some music on and fold paper cranes. It's oddly relaxing and helps me think clearly. And I have a pot of tea in front of me if I feel hungry. Tea usually helps…

I have a small teapot full of jasmine green tea, or whatever tea I have available if I run out of jasmine green tea. I also have a navel orange with it as well.

I'm on a low carb 1200 calorie diet. I have been doing it for a month so far and dropped one dress size. Still have a long way to go though.

I don't have a top three. I just buy eggs, chicken thighs, tomatoes, cashews, mixed greens for smoothies, oranges, pineapple, asparagus, bananas, apples...and a shitload of tea, as I drink it religiously

I'm not exercising at the moment. I'm just focusing on eating whole, natural foods to lose weight. It's working for me so far. Exercising is great if you feel you will maintain it for the rest of your life. But I honestly don't see myself going to the gym all the time. I do, however, see myself going for walks around the…

I started this two weeks ago and plan on doing it until the end of March before I start reintroducing foods into my diet again. I would say plan ahead. Since you will be cooking a lot, planning ahead is so important. Also learn to say "NO" to your friends and family. That is a MUST. Whenever I crave sweet stuff, I make…

I started it two weeks ago and plan to do this until the end of March, so I'm in.

I started it 11 days ago. It was incredibly hard in the beginning but it's been a little easier lately. I don't feel as bloated as I used to, and I feel a little happier than I used to for some reason. I don't feel as sad and depressed as I used to. I plan to do this for more than 30 days- till the end of march. Then I…

I think it's better if you keep it to yourself. No need to mention to everyone, because people will always try and put you down once they know that you have a goal in mind. At least that's what I've experienced. People on the internet who I don't know are the only people I tell, that's about it.

Nope. Everyone's body is different. It's not easier for me at all to lose weight that way. And I've tried everything.

In response to the OP and anyone else interested in the diet... not here for the drama, just want to share my experience :| I am currently on the paleo diet (not completely but mostly paleo). I felt like **** for the first three weeks, but then after that, I felt really great and full of energy. Be prepared to COOK. Urgh I…

Eating 1200 calories used to be very difficult for me. But now, it's not so hard, mainly because I don't just eat anything that I want. I stay away from grains, processed foods, and have lowered my dairy intake. I have a piece of dark chocolate now and then to keep me sane, and have lots of tea, and some coffee (of course…

I usually have one piece of dark chocolate (as opposed to a whole chocolate bar that I used to have :s). And when I have that piece of dark chocolate, I savour it. I enjoy that small piece of chocolate as much as I can by not eating it so damn fast like I used to. Another thing that helps me are frozen grapes. Seriously,…

I'm getting married on september 6th 2014. I have to lose the weight by June, but hoping to lose it sooner, by April.
-
wow thats so awesome!

Ooh I would love to have a dietitian as a friend. Adding you!

ditto! hahaha But to the OP, if you want to lose weight, do it properly. Don't lose weight just to be skinny, but lose weight to feel healthier. Don't be in a rush, because you will surely set yourself up for failure and disappointment. Set up realistic mini goals, and you will get there eventually :)

I'm from Surrey... hope that's not too dumpy for you haha I'm always up for new friends! :)
-
Ooh I know how you feel. I started early this year, then stopped around may. I lost around 18 lbs, but I am recently starting to get back on track. I need to lose another 40lbs within the next few months. We can do it! :)

Use that word carefully around americans... :O I know what you meant though :) But I would happy to be your friend! :)

Yoga and pilates is supposed to improve your posture. Also, it takes a great deal of awareness to fix your posture. Stick your chest out as much as you can, as it forces your head back. I have pretty bad posture from slouching when I draw, and from putting my head forward when I'm on the computer. You can also put a ball…

Awesome job!!! Congrats! :)

Wow, what a difference! You look great! :D
