When I have a sugar craving, I drink a glass of Crystal Light... only 5 calories and no sugar! It gives me that little bit of sweet I need to get over the craving :)

My experience (with Fitness Pal and prior) is that weight loss is not linear. I would see weeks where I lost 2-3 lbs when I thought I had done horrible, weeks where I'd gain a pound when I thought I did well, and no movement when I knew I was sticking to it.
