Now I really want to go to WaWa...

That means it's either pizza night or what can you find in the fridge night. Sometimes, I just make everyone a sandwich and put out some cut up veggies (every Sunday I grocery shop and cut up all the veggies for snacks through the week).

Whenever I'm feeling antsy for some kind of race, I google half marathon/mud run/5k near (my location)

I used to only use MFP to log my runs. I later started using a GPS watch without a HRM and now use a GPS watch with the chest strap. When I log my time and average pace, all three have typically been within 75-80 calories of each other. To me, that isn't a big over/under estimate.

I don't fight with them. They eat what I make, unless it's something like chili, because they are spice wimps still. I have 2 boys; one is 5 one is 3. The 5 year old eats pretty much everything, but the 3 year old does not. But he knows if he doesn't eat, he doesn't get something else. The only exception is if he asks for…

I grocery shop for the week every Sunday and plan out the week's evening meals. I also buy pretty much the same stuff for breakfast and lunch (eggs and sandwich stuff) so my week of food is very predictable. I stock up on bananas and baby carrots for snacks, along with whatever fruit/vegetables are on sale. I don't get…

I've been thinking about getting one. I hear they are great for daily activity but not for actual workouts. Is that a true statement? I use a HRM for my cardio (mostly running) so would I leave the fitbit on during my run or just take it off?

My kids! One is 40lbs the other is 30lbs so I pick one up and start lifting them. They think it's hilarious and I get a little exercise from it.

There's a local place down the street from me and we get pizza and wings at least every 2 weeks or so. I try to time it on days I did a long run and budget, but sometimes that doesn't happen and I just eat a little less of it. In the nice weather the family and I will walk there to make it a little better. Tonight might be…

During the work week, I like eating a small breakfast and lunch so that I can eat a lot for dinner. I also do this because I get bored at work and eat a lot then, too (little things like fruit and veggie from my lunch box). On the weekends, I like huge breakfasts a little later in the morning, skip lunch and a decent…

So that you know how many calories to count. If 4oz of something is 100 calories and you don't weigh it, how would you know you didn't eat more or less, which would equal more or less calories?

I have a 110 with the chest strap heart rate monitor. I used it for Insanity and other work outs as just a HRM. I took my heart rate and did out the long math to estimate calories burned and it came out pretty close. I feel it's trustworthy.

I don't eat much fast food anymore. I hate spending money so I don't budget it in as much as I used to. I bring my lunch and snacks. So when I do go, it is planned and I splurge. McDonald's and Wendy's are my favorite on the east coast but the west coast has my all time favorite places (jack in the box!). If it's an…

I created my own exercise and used a HRM. I am 5'6" and about 150lbs and still averaged around the same as pp; 350-550.

Balance of both is good. I personally don't really enjoy lifting (*gasp!*) so I tend to be more cardio heavy (specifically running and biking). I do find other ways to get strength training in even if it's not lifting.

I am military and have been required to get one the last 12 years. Prior to that, I never got one. Either way, I've never had the flu. But I'm still pro vaccine. My kids get them. The little guy (2) actually got flu mist this year instead of a needle and he did fine with it. My older one (4) for sure gets it, but he has to…

If we have nothing going on at work, I get PT time (military) and now a days it's an "on your own" thing instead of group PT at the gym at 0730. On these days I am lucky enough to be given until 0930 to report in. But to give the kids a bit of a break, I get up at 0450 to run and walk the dog, since my husband is still…

My current favorite snack is hummus and pretzel chips.

My husband has been doing it a while. He loves it. He has a good instructor too, who keeps in mind that my husband has knee issues. I'd probably do it too if evening life wasn't so busy with two little ones right now.

That's probably relatively accurate. Insanity is hard and you want to make sure you are getting enough to support it. I just finished it not too long ago and I was burning (according to my HRM) about 350-550 depending on how hard I went at it that day or which workout it was.
-
Listen to him when he says go at your own pace and all that jazz. It's very challenging. I just finished it myself and I loved it. I'm going to go back to running more for a few weeks, then do it again.

I drink lots :) I used to go overboard on cream and sugar, but now I prefer just a little half and half or milk with just a little sugar. I have a Keurig too and it was the best day when I got one of those little gray cups so that I can use my own coffee. It's so much cheaper!

I'm on the last two weeks and I went into it as a pretty decent runner. It kicked my butt hard at first. It's still hard. I don't think you need special prepping, just really listen to your body and do what you can. It is easy to over do it. Like someone else said, it is very high impact so watch the knees and back. Oh and…

Aside from the standard "realized I didn't like the way I looked or felt anymore", a lot came down to keeping my job. The military is downsizing and an easy way to boot people is failure to pass a fitness test. I also realized if I couldn't keep up with my kids and be active with them, they would develop lazy habits. As a…

Congrats!! I'm slightly jealous :) I want another I would recommend eating only a little over maintenance. More than likely you don't want to be in a deficit at least. As long as you're pregnancy is low risk, there isn't anything wrong with continuing the exercises you did before. Just listen to your body and back down as…

I eat breakfast, lunch and snacks the same almost daily. Or at least close to the same. Dinner I at least make my weekly plans but I still keep it pretty simple. It keeps me on track because I know roughly how many calories I'm getting and what I'll "have room" for when planning my weekly dinners. A good side effect too is…

I wouldn't, just get back into the routine and things should even back out.

I'm finishing recovery week and starting the next month Monday. I already considered myself in pretty good cardio shape; I run a lot and do all kinds of cardio type things. But the first week especially kicked my butt! I like it though. PP, no you do not need anything with it.

If I have breakfast, it's typically something with eggs. For work, usually an egg and a slice of cheese on an english muffin and mixed fruit later on. Or I will bake eggs and veggies in a muffin pan so I have an easy grab and go breakfast ready.
