I find I'll be very hungry after cardio but not so much after lifting. I'll usually have a protein shake after cardio

Fallen off the swiss ball while doing sit ups. Landed flat and hard on my butt. Swiss ball went flying out behind me and rolled off down the gym lol some nice guy rolled it back to me ten pin bowling styles.....So embarrassed.

There is a huge difference there. Well done and keep up the awesome work. Keep taking those pics on a regular basis....Once a month even.

If its lasted longer than two days I go to the doctor. Sometimes you need to be prescribed medication

It wouldnt take all day to burn that many calories depending on how hard you worked out. I can do an hour of just walking quite briskly and burn just under 500.

Ive lost five pounds since January the second. I took measurements and pics when I started and Im thankful for this. Such a difference in photos and measurement wise.

I cant eat before working out as I do this early in the morning but post workout after lifting I'll have eggs and wholemeal toast on cardio days I will have a protein shake.

Sometimes you just need to be in the right frame of mind for this. When Im feeling blah I go over and have a read of success stories. Doing that is a basic slap in my face to carry on! Knowing if they can do it then so can I

I started lifting with that book and it got me hooked. I dropped mega inches on his programme. I recommend it to anyone.

You should see if someone who works at the gym could show you around and maybe give you a lifting programme or do some research online. No point using stuff at the gym and not knowing what you are doing. You could be targeting wrong areas...

I have to eat within my break times at work..... Breakfast 8.30 snack 10am lunch 12pm snack 4pm dinner 6.30pm

You should take some new photos. I bet you will see a change in body shape. This is for those struggling with the scale weight. Measure, take photos once a month oh and did I forget to say measure :p

I dont eat much for the day after lifting weights but after cardio I am ravenous.

You must be doing something right. You should start taking measurements. Ive barely lost any weight since Jan the 2nd but im losing in inches. Gonna have to buy a belt to hold my work pants up soon lol

Dumbells are awesome for deadlifting and for doing rows. I prefer DB's over the barbell....except for squats

I lift heavy three days a week at the moment doing 5x5 5x4 and 5x5x3x8 I do cardio three times a week involving machines and group fitnessclasses I have a Personal Trainer every two weeks for half an hour of pure hardcore make me feel sick workouts. You are welcome! It's a comfort to know this as I've been lifting heavy since January the 2nd with virtually no scale change upwards or downwards so there is hope for me yet hehe.

Ive ripped my calve muscles three times in about five years. My calves are very tight Ive used socks from my physiotherapist and they have helped alot.
