Well done and thank you for making me laugh out loud.... I have my first race on the 18th October, followed by an 8k in November and I'm planning on an 11 in January... Fingers crossed I make it to the end. :)

I am currently doing C25K and really enjoying it but once I finish I will switch to RunKeeper. Better tracking, you can change the setting for it to tell you when, how long, your pace etc and it syncs with most gadgets. :)

I am a nurse, so I work in a very female dominated environment...and nurses are renowned for being able to discuss private and personal details quite easily and openly so my weight loss is always a topic of conversation....and I don't mind at all. My co workers, both on my ward and in the general hospital, always ask me…

Thanks for the answers.. I had thought the same thing but just struggled mentally with the jump. I think we are conditioned to take the scale as an absolute (well I know I am!) and even though the rational part of my brain knows what's going on, the emotional side of me just wants it go DOWN! Have a lovely weekend. :)

Hmmmnnnn... I think (and please correct me if I am wrong Vismal) maybe Vismal was just saying that we don't NEED to ( rather than we Should not) spend our money on commercial style fitness plans.. Yes, it looks all shiny and pretty and possibly less intimidating than a big gym (especially the male dominated weights room)…

Following along for reference....

Ha! yes.. This just happened. "Shudders" (thinks about it abit more) "Shudders while crossing arms over chest" Ick. No. Decline.

Oh sweetheart.... Words fail me. Know that you are loved and that you have people all over the world thinking of you and your family right now. May you find some comfort and peace with your husband, son and your family. We are thinking of you. X

Yep. I am a 12F Australian, so I think that's a 34F US.. I have just started the C25k and am acutely aware of the bounce and jiggle factor. It's makes me incredibly self conscious (as in I feel sick to my stomach when I notice someone watching me run) and I normally avoid running in places that there are lots of people,…

Tagging to follow..

You are amazing! The courage it must have taken for you to continually pick yourself up and keep going.... I am lost for words. Congratulations and well done.

I'm losing from my stomach first and I generally lose weight from my boobs last.. Sounds like a good thing but I always feel really out of proportion and quite self conscious...

I'm eating between 1200-1400 and am about to start C25k on Monday. Happy to have more friends. I log daily and am active on the forums and news feed. :flowerforyou:

I am starting my first attempt on Monday. I would love an online running partner! Am based in Australia... :flowerforyou: Have sent FR..

Amazing work. Congratulations! :drinker:

He (or she, I didn't actually look at the profile info) isn't a troll.. He has Aspergers... It's on the autism spectrum and results in social and communication difficulties (hence the long wall of what feels like ranting with limited grammar and punctuation) a lack of empathy and insight and similar traits to autism in…

Well.. Sadly, this thread just made a lot more sense.:frown:

Brisbane girl here! Add me.. I'm on every day and actively losing. :)

Bump for inspiration.. You all look AMAZING!!!

 There are words for people like that......words that I try really hard to refrain from using. My stomach clenched just reading your story. I am so sorry this happened to you and I hope that you realise that this is a true reflection of THEM, not you.

You know what's better than a fire sword? A light saber! (I tried to insert the noise here but can't work out how to phonetically spell it). Depression and Anxiety are debilitating, soul sucking monsters, so big, big hugs to you for battling on. I hope you get to flame up your sword one day. Just remember, take one day at…

I have a couple of breakfast options that I rotate, depending on if I am working in the morning or not.. My current favourites are; 2 poached eggs on 1 piece whole grain toast with fresh tomato, rocket or spinach and mushroom. 2 weetbix with a splash of skim milk, topped with plain chobani yoghurt and sultanas, crushed…

I use coconut milk when I make thai laksa... I add laksa paste, low fat coconut milk, chicken breast, Bok choy, zucchini, capsicum and vermicelli noodles and then add bean sprouts and coriander (I think it's called cilantro in the US) to finish. It's soooo yummy and is between 300- 500 calories, depending on how much…

I guess you could say that I have started for health but am staying for all my beautiful clothes that are hanging in my wardrobe. I know it's vain but I just want to wear them again..

Great post! Tagging so I can re-read again later...

Thank you to the lovely person who posted the websites for pop tarts available in Australia.... I am off to indulge...:flowerforyou:

You look amazing... You should be So. Damn. Proud. Well done.

Cancer. It wasn't a direct cause of being overweight but it made me reevaluate my life and my health. It is a hell of a wake up call....
-
I'm also loving Italian style Bruschetta... Only I use Cruskits instead of bread. Topped with basil, tomato and red onion... yum!

I am loving making up a mini cheese plate... 1 apple, cored and cut into wedges, 25gr of shaved sharp tasty low fat cheese, rice crackers and a small handful of dry roasted mixed nuts. I feel very indulgent and as if I am treating myself but it's really good for you and fits within all my macros. Great snack... And it goes…
