Yep I read it all too, congratulations on making the decision to change!! :drinker: :flowerforyou: I started off with 110lbs to lose and I'm 90 down! Yes this has taken me 2 years (I had a 6 month break last year) but I have done this without a heavy exercise routine, for me it's all been about controlling the calories in.…

I can totally relate to this. Snacking at night after the kids were in bed was the hardest habit to break for me. It was like a compulsion to eat, and thoughts about food just used to get so loud in my head that I couldn't even concentrate on doing anything else. It usually happens if I'm sitting watching tv, so to deal…

I have one. Have used it once. Felt massively embarassed!! (see youtube vids and you'll realised why!) Still intend to go back to using it though (when I eventually stop blushing at the thought!!) as I could really feel the burn on my arms, was definitely working those muscles!

Hiya! Can totally relate to struggling to get going again after xmas, I think I went through a bit of a patch of logging fatigue as I've been on here on MFP for 18 months now! I'm currently 163lbs down from 250lbs - another stone or two to go for me. Feel like I've got my groove back in this last week or so, have set…

Thanks guys I ended up going for a special - a Jamaican Sweet Potato and Bean stew. It was very lovely, and as it had no meat in and was packed full of veg it felt quite healthy! The half a bottle of Rose and 3 pints of real ale on the other hand....... :^S Rosey x

search for 'Breastfeeding' in the food database and there's a couple of entries in there - gives negative calories and other nutrients. She should allow 500 cals per day if baby is still feeding from her exclusively. Once s/he starts weaning use the number of portions to cut it down HTH Rosey

(Edited - too slow!) You and your Mrs make a gorgeous couple!

Step away from the scales! Bin them if you need to!! Why are you trying to lose weight? To lose inches? Is it to feel healthier? To look better? To be able to fit into smaller clothes? Or to make some numbers on a scale get smaller? Judge yourself on how well you're doing towards your *actual* goal, not the numbers on the…

Haha make sure you keep hold of those 'before' photos, as much as you want to burn them right now, they're a brilliant too for the future when you look back and see just how far you've come! Absolutely not! We have no scales in our house. I go and see the nurse at my local doctor's surgery once a month on a friday morning…

Bwaahahaha!! I know that feeling!!!

Well done! The cheesecake sounds lovely, would you share the recipe? I'm always on the look out for low cal desserts! Rosey x

I too am a bit anal when it comes to measuring! With the breadcrumbs, I'd suggest weighing before and after, then you'll know how much you've used. Rosey x

I only weigh once a month! Stops me getting obsessive about my weight and just take each day as it comes.

I can't answer your question directly, but the Grandparent's association may be able to help http://www.grandparents-association.org.uk/ Rosey x
