At this hour, i would only eat if you are actually hungry. If not, it's okay to be under your calories sometimes. If you are hungry and your choices are oatmeal or cold cereal, I like oatmeal the best! One serving with some water will give you fiber and protein and keep you full.

I work out first thing, and I generally have a small snack beforehand, like a 170-cal protein bar, or a banana. Then, after I'm worked out and showered, I have my oatmeal or eggs or whatever for breakfast. I can't work out on an empty stomach. Try having a small snack under 200 cals and see if that helps!

I love love taking classes at my exercise studio. I know all of the ladies there, and they know me. I like going for social time, plus work out, plus the friendly (silent) competition with the women around me- ie, I see someone doing more reps, so I try to match them. I do boot camp, Zumba, Barre, plus several other…

For the exercise, I'd recommend adding some more exercises, using different pieces of equipment- ask a trainer at your gym for some demonstrations of what to do, and how to do it correctly. Your body will get used to the same movements after awhile, and won't work as hard to change. It's hard to tell you about eating since…

Almost everyone plateaus, and your losses will slow down. It's a natural part of losing weight. Changing up your workout is a good idea. I would recommend some stength training, even just pushups, squats, lunges, and situps are a great way to start. They require no equipment except your body weight. If you belong to a gym,…

Unfortunately, this is something he has to want for himself. I think the best thing you can do is lead by example. When he sees you taking care of yourself, eating healthier, being active, then he might want to join you in making new habits.

Plan plan plan! Plan your meals, cook whatever you can at home, track everything. Drink lots of water. For workouts, I would recommend DVDs. There are tons available for cardio, strength, yoga, etc, and can be done at home at your convenience. Take it all one day at a time, and you'll reach your goals!

Job hunting sucks! It's not just you, it's really hard to get an interview anywhere these days. Have you looked at temp agencies? That can be a good way to get a foot in the door, or at least something to keep you out of trouble for 8 hours a day. I hope this helps!

I look back at my old pictures. Seeing a side-by-side comparison of then and now reminds me how far I've come. I'm just getting out of my old funk, and back into the gym. Working out and getting those endorphins also helps me feel more confident. You've come such a long way! Congrats on 31 lbs lost! Write down reasons why…

i suggest you start with walking! Outdoors is good, or I also recommend a series of DVDs called Walk Away the Pounds. I had a lot of success with those a few years back. They're low impact, but very effective. I hope this helps!

These photos are all amazing! Here is my before and during, about a 45 lbs difference. Before was June 2011, During is November 2012. The during seems to cut off a bit, but it's also my profile pic.

Well, 4 pounds of fat may not necessarily come from your arms. Also, lots of people get to their goal weight and still have work to do. My arms are bothering me, too. It's frustrating that everything else is tightening up, and there is a very deliberate dip right under my triceps. What can I do, except keep on keeping on?…

Ditto the previous poster. I always dress in layers when I work out. My hoodie goes with me to the gym, comes off after I am warmed up, right back on after my cool-down, until I can get in the shower. I get cold, too!

If you're already strength training, the best thing to reduce inches is just to combine that with cardio and watching your calorie intake. It will take time and patience. Congrats on your success!

Pick one day per week. Weigh yourself at the same time every week, wearing similar clothes. For example, I weigh in every Friday morning when I wake up. I use the bathroom, strip down, and onto the scale I go. That's my weight for the week. And try not to be anxious! You're doing just fine :)

Congrats on your success! You're much smaller now. Your body has less weight, so your heart doesn't have to work as hard when you move. If you really want to burn more, I suggest doing high intensity interval training, HIIT, where you go really fast and hard for 30 secs to a minutes, then slow down for a minute or two. Do…

Ideally, an entire food group (unless it's processed sugar, etc) should not be cut out without a medical reason. You have Celiac, which is a great reason to cut grains. If you feel better and are getting good results, keep doing what you're doing!

I like the Spark People book. Also, When Food is Love by Geneen Roth, is good if you're working through emotional eating issues.

@twinsevens 10!! Amazing progress! And your shirt makes me smile

@Jonesing 9- cute shoes!

I try to slow my eating down, that helps the full feeling come sooner. If your food is gone and you think you might still be hungry, try drinking water. Don't gulp it, but sip. It will help with the full feeling as well. Also, we often mistake thirst for hunger, so I would try staying hydrated as much as you can. Hope this…

Yeah, once a week will give you a more accurate number. Your weight naturally fluctuates from day to day, and it's possible you are maybe retaining water. It's hard to tell specifically, because I cannot see your diary :) Are you exercisiing? If you're new to that, it could also cause water retention. Also,…

Also want to add that, while I am not going to win a competition anytime soon, my coordination and multi-tasking skills have greatly improved since I've started Zumba. It's a workout for the mind AND body!

I love it! I got into it when I joined my fitness studio in January. I started going on Wednesdays, then added Saturdays with a different instructor. This month, they've added a new Tuesday morning class, so now I'm going 3x. I've had pretty good results when pairing it with a strength class right before it. I do have both…
