I do my arms and legs on alternating days. I would add some chest and back exercises and then do your shoulders on the days you do your legs. You should work out complimenting muscles. Chest and tris, back and bis. You can do dumbell chest flys and presses. And if you have access to a bench, just switching it from flat, to…

When you look for 45 minutes for an outfit that matches your HRM, so you can see how many calories you burn while dancing your @$$ off!

You could always try weight training. Build muscle, lose fat! Swimming is a great idea. I have lost weight in the past without exercising, but it isn't the best way. Exercise is beneficial for many reasons. Don't quit doing it now. Talk to your doctor about other low-impact exercises that you can do. Good…

Would you rather she go put the beer back and buy her son whatever he wanted? What message is that sending? It is not good for a child to have every request granted. She told him "no". Her reasoning behind it and whatever she had in the cart, doesn't matter.
-
I agree with this, but I don't see how the mom telling her child "no, you can't have that soda" is an example of this. The mother makes the shopping list and therefore knows what she can and can't afford. It is good for a child to hear the word "no", for whatever reason. Again, I do not see anything abusive about her…

Another point I would like to make.... Did the child put the soda back? Or did he throw a fit in the store until she gave in? If the child put the soda back without an argument in the middle of the store, it goes to show that this woman is doing her job. I wish I had a beer for every time I saw a child throw a fit in the…

And it's not like she made the kid put back apples or milk. She made him put back a SODA!!!
-
What example is that? That she is an adult and has the right to buy beer and tell her children "no"? I didn't see anything abusive in the response that the mother gave for the child not being able to have a soda. Now, if she had slammed a beer, hit her child over the head with the empty bottle and called him a moron, then…

Making memories with my kids.... Listening to my daughter giggle because my son is making her laugh.... Camping....

And the "tub o lard" comment really bothers me....

I know this topic is a day old, but I thought I'd come along and kick the dead horse, also. You don't know what that woman was buying beer for and it really isn't any of your business to tell someone what to buy or not to buy in a grocery store. Perhaps that was her beer that she keeps in the fridge for company and it is…

When you retire what you used to refer to as your "skinny" jeans to camping, because you can fit them over your sweatpants.

When you see a picture of yourself and don't wonder how that cruel photographer managed to use a wide angle lens on just YOUR butt.

I didn't read all of the posts, but I am in the same situation. I had a BUNCH of calories left over yesterday and had some popcorn, with butter. But, there is a drink that I have made up for myself for after my workouts. 8 oz whole milk 1 banana 1 Tbsp peanut butter 1 1/2 Tbsp ground flax seed. I blend it up and it is…

Try some resistance bands. There are so many different exercises you can do with them and in the privacy of your home! I noticed a difference almost immediately.
