I have been Rawtil4 for a month now and I am really enjoying it, it is quite liberating not to have to be obsessed with counting calories. I happen to love fruit and veggies and so I am not finding it restrictive at all. However, I do take a B12 supplement. After a lot of reading, in my opinion I think there is too much…

Hi Hemp Protein powder is one option, you can also find protein in Tofu, Soya, Quinoa, beans, lentils, nuts and seeds.

Good for you... stick with it.. YOU CAN DO IT! I gave up a year ago and it is the best thing I have done, I can now run, I smell better, have fresher breath and more money. I went cold turkey, it is not easy but I think most other methods using a substitue just prolong the process of getting of the nicotine. Try not to eat…

Hi I know how you feel. I quit smoking a year ago and put on weight, which I expected to do. I had reached my goal before I quit so my starting point was a good one, but like I said I have put weight on ( but I look OK and not too worried however I would like to loose some) and I am finding it harder to get rid of. I am 51…

Hi I am 51 and reached my goal about 12 months ago and I have been maintaining since then, at first all went well but iI have put on a bit of weight since I have relaxed my regime a bit nnd I need to get my *kitten* in gear!! Bascially, you do more of the same as when you were losing, if you stop and eat more you will put…

We should be able to make a choice if we wish to eat GMO or if we do not wish to eat GMO. We cannot make an informed choice unless the food is labelled to indict that GMO ingredients have been used. Huge rich , unscruplious companies like Monsanto tend not to be upfront and honest with the public. I would perfer not to eat…

I like the idea of a raw food diet... but I am not so sure about eating so much fruit and what all that fructose can do to your liver in the long run....

I have an FT60F, which works really well. I use it for running, wlaking and strength training. It is a lot better than my last one. It has many useful features and looks quite stylish, I wear it everday as a watch. I really wanted a Fit band flex but I researched many diffrent types and decided the Polar FT60F had more…

Happy New Year! I too have put on weight ... about 10 pounds! not too bad in the scheme of things really, but more that I would like. I don't have a problem with exercising, but it is the calories. It is so easy for them to creep up if you are not logging everything. You get to a point where you think I got this, I know…

You can do it! I was in a similar position to you I was fat and fast approaching 50, but I lost the weight and I am nearly 51 and great shape for my age if I do say so myself! Good luck on you journey:flowerforyou:

I see from your profile that you are vegan, therefore there are many different foods you will not eat or consider healthy for that reason. I think you could have mentioned this in your OP to put your statement in context IMHO

What an inspiration you are, you look fabulous and so much younger, fitter and happier. I am 50 and have lost the weight and now run, but not managed a 1/2 marathon yet, but your achievement makes me believe I can! You should be so proud of your achievement and well done to your sister, too. :drinker:

What an achievement, you look fabulous, like a different person :drinker:

Hi and welcome back. I am from just outside Manchester.I managed to lose three stone, put a bit back on but trying to get rid of it again. I don't go to the gym but I do strength training several times a week at home, walk when I can and run. Feel free to add me:)

Love the show!

You look fantastic. you should be really proud of your achievement. I love it how weights can change your body shape, it happened to me too. I lost most of my weight without doing any cardio. I only started it when I hit a plateau, and it did help. I am thinking of the Venus Index, would you recommend it? :flowerforyou:

I find early mornings are the best time, I hardly ever see anyone else about but I do live in a rural location. Always take your phone with you and don't listen to music so that you are aware of what is going on around you. Good luck

In my opinion I wouldn't give up running completely, but just slow it right down, forget racing and just run for fun. I only started running in my late forties but I have never raced and I have no desire to. I love the time on my own with no pressure to complete my run in a certain time. If I need to slow down and walk, I…

I run on empty first thing in a morning, i just have a milky coffee before I go. I did have a fruit yoghurt once but nearly lost it half way through my run - not pleasant! Enjoy your morning runs, the best time of day IMO :)

I quit smoking about 2 1/2 years ago and piled on the pounds, I think I put on so much as it coincided with middle age spread. I got serious and lost the weight, by eating healthy and clean and exercising. I was having a bad time ( at work and family problems) and started smoking again.- I know shameful! When I reached my…
