  • I’m sticking to my cal count of 1350 or less. Two days in but it’s a start. I feel better. I’m eating healthier. Funny how I eat better when I’m counting cals. :)

  • I agree. Sometimes I don’t get on the scale when I know it’s just going to discourage me. Sometimes that’s self care lol.

  • Thank you. I think I hit a true plateau. I was measuring, and weighing all food at 1200 calories a day. Or lower. I lost several pounds during the month then it just wouldn't budge.... So I increased it to 1450 to build my metabolis. I just now have started to move down ever so slowly. I know I need to be more active tho!

  • Tretoptreece I have a 16 year old daughter and I can relate... I'm trying to set a good example for her as well but I'm not where I need to be. It's a life style of living healthier...and I'm trying to do better every day. Thank you for sharing and for all of your comments above. <3

  • Thank you.... You are right. The extra weight we carry is hard on our bones and joints, etc. Every pound we lose is a pound our muscles, joints and bones don't have to carry.... :)
  • Wow. You are so right, it's important to STAY motivated and to associate (via MFP or anywhere) with people who are actively choosing to care about their fitness. Making healthy choices can be contagious.... It helps me just by reading everyone else's story. We CAN do this.....

  • Yes, it does.... I think we know we "need" to get fit for our health, our kids, etc. but it helps to have something that makes us WANT to lose weight and get fit. I want to feel good about how I look... I mean, we need to LOVE OURSELVES now, and be ok with where we are but it doesn't mean I want to stay here....
