  • We premake breakfast burritos at our house, and breakfast "casseroles." Scrambled egg whites, peppers and onions, meat of choice, wrapped in a spinach wrap. You can make a bunch at one time, wrap in freezer paper, and put them in a freezer bag. They reheat really well in the mornings. I also will make something like an…

  • It might just be me, but it seems on the days when I feel like I have absolutely zero energy, I wind up having my best workouts.
  • If you've typed this out correctly, there is no way you can lose weight on this diet. My BMR is about 3500 calories, and according to your numbers (18 times your body weight in calories) I should be consuming 4930 calories per day. This puts me at +1430 per day, and an extra 10010 calories a week. Using simple math, that…
  • I recently started replacing breakfast and lunch with Ex-Lax. Dinner is a simple bottle of water with lemon juice in it. I've lost 24lbs in the last week!
  • I currently use a MIO HRM without a chest strap, and I'm getting ready to purchase one with a chest strap. Even though I am able to check my heart rate constantly, I found that when doing an intense workout (boot camp) the sweat on my wrist somehow disables the watch's ability to check my rate. I'm picking up a new one…
  • When I started using MFP I was at 350lbs, and it calculated my BMR and gave me a daily alotment of 2240 calories.
  • I joined MFP almost 6 weeks ago, and I'm down 20lbs. Still have about 105 to hit my goal weight, so I'll be using this tool for a while.
  • You might be slightly bloated, or holding some water weight. I occasionally feel like I have extra inches when I'm really hydrated.

  • Every hour I get up and walk up and down the stairs for five minutes. In an 8 hour work day, that's 40 minutes of exercise I wouldn't be getting otherwise. It really gets my heart rate going, and I get a good sweat going on.
  • We like to make our own at home. You can put some kernels in a brown lunch bag and fold the top down and pop like normal. This way you can add your own seasonings without over doing it, and you don't get all the butter and fat.
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced into bite sized pieces 1T minced garlic 1T EVOO 4 cups mixed veggies (We use Bird's Eye Normandie Blend.) Cajun seasoning* Sprinkle 1-2 T of the seasoning over the diced chicken and mix. Heat the oil in a pan. When hot add the garlic and saute until lightly browned. Reduce heat to medium-high and…
  • Thanks for the feedback! I'm going after work as well with several coworkers. The mornings are brutal for me, which is what I think is keeping me from being really dedicated to my exercise routine. I was an athlete in high school (10 years ago!) and I'm really competitive. I feel like those will give me the drive I need to…
  • I do the same thing. Every hour I get up and hike up and down the stairs in my office for about 5 minutes. It really gets my heart rate going, and I can really feel it in my legs. By the end of the day I've racked up another 40-45 minutes of exercise. Everything I've ready says as long as you get your heart rate up, short…
  • I had a similar problem early last year, before I was dieting. I made an effort to eat a Fiber One bar every morning. Now I'm as right as the mail. It's 35% of your daily fiber intake, and that really gets things moving. If I don't eat one, by later in the evening I feel bloated and have to force myself to go.
