I'm the same mission to not compare my weight loss to others. mfp members that joined months after…

I KNOW! I keep waiting for it to get crazy, but nothing! I'm shocked, a calm night on a psych unit? I'll keep double checking my pt's to make sure they're still breathing :p

I've morphed into the non fun friend that doesn't get invited because I gave up drinking alcohol. Everywhere I go, people try to feed me like I'm some lost puppy, garbage disposal character. Everytime I go to see my parents, they say I've lost weight even if I've clearly gained. (what the heck!) And all my work peeps seem…

I have both iron deficiency anemia and vitamin B-12 deficiency anemia. I'm not a vegetarian but my diet is often quite low in meat and I have the same challenge. I've tried energy shots before and had counterproductive results. They supress my appetite and then when it wears off I'm far more likely to binge eat or…

Oh sweet calorie disaster! Fall semester starts tomorrow. Combined with work, this equates into a huge decrease in sleep for me and an annoying urge to binge eat to stay awake. :( Any suggestions of how to stay alert for calculus after working the night before?

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." -Emerson I completely agree. Compelling post!

When I first started working night shift years back, I worked with upbeat and energetic people. Right now I have a lethargic crew. :( I'm glad I found this, support would be nice!

I have the exact same issue. Every time I try to change my dietary habits, I obsess over food and end up eating more! The only effective tactic I've found to combat this is to keep myself as busy as possible with non food related activities.
