I'm 23 and started a while back, but add me if you'd like. Welcome to MFP! :flowerforyou:

^ My thoughts exactly, except to add that I was obese for most of my life. Families and friends always want to compliment you when you lose and badger you when you gain. It's great to see someone who actually doesn't want to be noticed merely because of her weight... **NOT** condoning the notion to remain obese to prove a…

^^ I'm glad that someone else had this idea... I actually want to make one ASAP now lol yummmmm *drool*

I send and accept requests whether male or female... shoot, I'd probably accept a unicorn if they give mutual support and have a positive outlook on weight loss, gaining muscle, etc.!

My diary is open and I TRY to hit at least 130g of protein per day. Sometimes it's lower, sometimes it's much higher but feel free to take a look at it!
-
The before and during photo... 50 down and a little bit more to go! Almost there though. Just gotta keep trucking. Great success photos, everyone! :drinker:

My thoughts exactly. Get out of my brain!

They're delicious! Like many others have said, you just have to choose them wisely when it comes to your budget. Buying in bulk might be your best option... there are PLENTY of recipes to make with them online too so you don't just have to eat them the old plain Jane way.

^^ I was thinking this exact same thing. :drinker:

In agreement with most people that have already commented... it does get better. I used to HATE running and we still have a love/hate relationship. Running outside as opposed to the treadmill shows you how vastly different your body reacts when there's not a belt helping to propel your legs as you run. Start off walking,…

In agreement with all of the other posters... protein & water is your best bet! You'll find that most of the ladies on here start syncing up mysteriously, so we're usually on at around the same time and this topic will come up every month or so lol Just be on the look out for those posts too since more people may chime in!…

Ooo, another one is avocado tuna salad... basically just substitute mayo for an avocado when making tuna and you can have it plain, with crackers, or with some veggies.
-
My usual go to snacks are: 1) Greek yogurt, fruit, nuts (like banana and almonds) 2) Apple and natural peanut butter 3) Protein bar/shake... if I'm about to do a strength training workout after work 4) Carrots or celery with hummus 5) Mini sweet peppers and a Laughing Cow cheese wedge 6) Dry roasted edamame I have plenty…

All of them... at the same damn time.

Phenomenal work! The scale is just mean and jealous sometimes. I had to put up a progress photo too after seeing no change this past weekend. Slow and steady changes/progress are better than no progress at all. Keep up the great work! :drinker:
-
Yup! Mine is mofitnesslessproblems.tumblr.com

My lady doesn't like them, but I go every once in a blue moon... no issues here! :drinker:

Don't let her or anyone else tell you that you're not doing enough when trying is the hardest part. I agree with other people above when they say that she may just be jealous that you're starting to become healthy and she doesn't know how to make that change. Glad you joined and know that there are supportive people on…

Peanut butter, Greek yogurt, Nuts, Avocados... and white cheddar popcorn is my absolute weakness. :blushing:

Make up sex, angry sex, pissed off sex, sexercise...? Doesn't matter as long as it's happening on a frequent basis. :drinker:

If you're noticing so many great changes in your body, why are you letting the scale beat you up so much? Enjoy those changes and change up if you need to OR weigh in the morning after a rest day. Don't let a silly number ruin all of your happiness with the other progress. Stay strong! :flowerforyou:

I work in a Career Center and HIGHLY recommend not putting it on your résumé... unless your applying for some form of personal trainer, fitness, etc. position. ETA: It's an amazing accomplishment, BUT that might be something to speak about in an interview type setting instead. Great work! :drinker:

I love love LOVE avocados! I've never eaten them plain, but I have so many recipes with them for any meal of the day. Just had some avocado toast this morning with tomatoes, feta, and bacon!

People usually stay after the race for about an hour or so for the festival, buy Color Run apparel, enter raffles and to throw color around. They let everyone go in waves in the morning, so I'd say for the entire event, it would be about 4 hours total. So if you're done by 10, stay for about an hour afterwards, you should…

bumppppp.

bump! I usually just keep it simple and do PB, banana, and some cocoa powder if I'm feeling really fancy. :drinker:

Hoping to see some great replies. This is one of my main goals before the end of this year!
