  • Yep, I'm the same, I always save it for the weekend, unless I'm working nights at the weekend in which case, I don't have one that week. I basically just relax with what I eat and portion sizes but still log it all.
  • Hi, I suffered a miscarriage on monday at 6 weeks. I am completely devastated. I am logging on to MFP but not sure I'm quite ready to start again. I'll get there though. My heartfelt sympathy to you and good luck getting back on track Jules x

  • Bloods taken for hormone levels and appointment made for early pregnancy unit tomorrow. But been bleeding all day but no real pain. I feel, in my head, we've probably lost it, but my heart is wishful thinking. Jules x
  • Hello all. Well yesterday I decided to tell my boys as I think I need them to know for support round the house etc. This lead to us telling a few close family members as my 5 year old got so excited I knew he would tell. I had some brownish discharge yesterday which didn't worry me too much but woke up this morning with…
  • I'm in Uk! Not sure we get them here!!
  • It eased off after some lemonade and a couple of biscuits. I think a lot of it may have been tiredness. I've never heard of the lemon drops!
  • Man, am I nauseous! Can't figure out if it's pregnancy symptom or because I've only had 3 1/2 hours sleep after a horrendous night shift. Lemonade is about all I can stomach and that's not easy going down! How are we all today? Jules x
  • The old faithful, I'm on antibiotics!
  • Congratulations! I'm Jules. pregnant with my 3rd and still shocked. Very unplanned. I'm 42 and a little scared. Hope your pregnancy goes smoothly x

  • I'm feeling very yucky today! Splitting headache, completely exhausted! Had to work till 2.30 and colleagues kept offering brufen!! Had a small sleep and a couple of paracetamol and starting to feel better.
  • Hello everyone. My name is Jules. I had a bit of a shock on saturday when I took a test and found it to be positive! I am 42 years old, have 2 boys, 14 and 5 and certainly wasn't planning any more. I have sold or given away everything baby related! I am taking each day as it comes as I am only 5 weeks and in a high risk…
  • I am not suffering with any symptoms yet! I'm exhausted but as a nurse I have just worked a series of manic nights with a couple of day shifts thrown in, so could be that. Funnily enough, I was nauseous and dizzy for a few days, in what I now realise, was a week post conception. Hopefully, this isn't a bad sign!
  • Hi everyone, I am due may 28th! And I'm extremely shocked to even be saying this! Completely unplanned! I am 42! I have 2 children, 14 and 5 and certainly wasn't having anymore, or so I thought! I have sold or given away all my baby stuff! I am taking each day as it comes as I am in a high miscarriage risk group and…

  • I am a nurse, work 12 1/2 hour shifts, days, nights, weekends etc! It affects my exercise definitely! On days I work, I do not work out although I sometimes barely sit down in that shift so burn calories that way. But it never affects my diet. I log and take my own lunch and 95% of the time it's fine. There is the odd…
  • Yeah, I was struggling after a few weeks on 1200 so upped mine to 1400 and have still lost weight, even the first week after upping them. I decided that, for me, slower weight loss was preferable to hunger!!
  • Haha, MFP edited the first four letters of his name!!!!
  • I too am huge reader. I currently am reading: Our Mutual Friend by Charles ****ens on my kindle Marriage by mistake by Alyssa Kress (for when my brain can't handle ****ens!) • Wow! You can really see how well you've done!!
  • Yes, finally persuaded my hubby to join me on here 2 weeks ago. He lost 2.2lb in his first week. I have to do all the logging for him but he is really starting to listen to me about his lack of calories mon-fri!!
  • Wow!! Well done! A real inspiration x
  • I'm doing it too but I have at least 2 rest days a week as I just can't manage it when I work a 12 hour shift! And if it's nights, it may even be 3 rest days. Good to get the advice about moving up to level 2 after 10 days regardless. I was wondering about that myself. I'm just about to do day 5 and it's definitely easier…
  • Hi, I'm also 5ft 4". I'm 42. I've completed 3 days of the 30 day shred.
  • Are you logging those extra calories? If not you may be underestimating. Can you exercise to incorporate those little extras, that we all enjoy. If I know I want something that will put me over my calories, I jump on my exercise bike. I do sympathise, as I have this trouble too.
