  • I do like cheat meals but it is a double edge sword for me. Its good to have it but then you either dont like it any more or you have it more and more and more. Soon you will be back to eating all the food that got you into this mess in the first place. Well that is how it is with me. The real trick is to find something to…
  • Sound like you got a good plan going. However, with me and I am not saying this will happen to you BUT it didnt really work. Recently I have learnt or relearned some practise that has actually helped me over the last few weeks. 1) Eat small meals during the day - 300 cal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 100 cal for morning…
  • With my first son, my husband stayed at home for a year. With my second son, I stayed home for two years. After that I worked part time. I had wednesday off. I worked longer hours during the other days but not full time. My sons went to day care and then to after school care. My children are healthy, happy and well…
  • Congratulations. The first step is to figure out where the food problems occur. I raised two kids and I didn't figure it out to my kids went to high school and I had time to think and reflect.
  • I agree you have not enough lean protein in your diet like chicken, Beef or fish. I would add those and get rid of some of the fruit. Not all but fruit has Frutose sugar which is in soft drinks and Juices. Our bodies can only tolerate a small amount of Frutose and then the rest turns gets stored in our body. The questions…

  • I have been watching a show called the "Fat Doctor" it is mainly about people who are morbidly obese and what they have to do before they can go to surgery for a Gastric Bypass. One of the things is the doctors prescribed a liquid diet of a sort of Jelly to loose weight so that they are a candidate for Gastric Bypass. So…
  • You can change the percentage of food in settings. I did and now I am happier not seeing it go over as much. However, I also counter act one of the side effect of too much protein with some high fibre supplement and foods. It works for me.
  • I just wanted to say thankyou. Over the last 20 odd years, I have felt weird. Occassionally, I have fainted or I get headaches or I get cranky or several of the other systoms which I could not explain with other foods or circumstances. I went to the doctors for this test 20 odd years ago and they could not find anything…
  • Hi, I am thinking of doing 2014 round. I was wondering how people went in this round?
  • We have a tight budget as well. I use Frozen veggies, grains and legumes (such as lentils or chickpeas) to add to all of my meals. I also make some of the sauces myself (the bottle sauces are just too expensive). I also have heaps of containers and then make a bulk amount of food and then put a proper portion into the…
  • Thanks, I will look at the pink flex
  • Im sorry, this may sound a little stupid but - how does my smart phone do pedometer?

  • I know the feeling. I keep starting again myself. My problem is I just cant stick to anything for more than a couple of weeks. :embarassed: Good luck
  • I go through periods of bingeing on chocolate to not eating it at all. I have worked why I get addicted to chocolate and it has to do with caffeine. I know that this may sound weird but this is me. If I have too much caffeine, I get sick and having itchy skin. But I love coffee and chocolate. Unfortunately the more…
  • Sorry - What is a BB10?
  • My advice is to look at the groups and topics. If you find a person who is helpful and is similiar to you in age or have similiar interests, then send them a friends message. Most people are open to having lots of friends, most of us will encourage you. Some people will unfortunately give you stupid advice or are rude but…
  • According to my Doctor, I am both Lactose and Casin intolerant. I can still eat dairy to a point. If I have too much dairy or the wrong item, I then start getting the systems. So it is an individual thing. Unfortunately, only you can tell what makes your body react. For me, I have severely limited my dairy and switch to…
  • Hi all, I have just started again too. I am from Brisbane in Australia. I have been married for almost 19 years and we have 2 teenage boys 17 and 15. Please feel free to add me, especially if you are having the empty nest syndrome (when children are leaving or have left home). I need inspirsation to get out and live a…
  • Born in Redcliffe Hospital. My family travel around Australia for a few years but ended up living in Aspley from the time I was about 9. Been living on the Northside of Brisbane ever since. Also, happy to have any one add me to their friends lists.
  • Thanks for posting this. It was well said and a reminder to us all. In the last 4 weeks ago, I hurt my ankle and got sick with the flu and I had one event after another. I didn't really exercise and I did over eat with the wrong type of foods and I didn't track it. So I was really suprised that I only gain less than a…
  • Hi, Bump just means that we read it and would like to refer to it later. Once you write on a wall you can see it in your My Topics. You can use any word or reply but if you just want to keep it then "Bump" is the most common. I hope that helps. It took a while for me to figure it out. Cassylee
  • Vitasoy Rice Milk is the one I found that I like. The others tend to separate the milk from the water and does not tastes as good.
  • I have been doing mfp for several years on and off. I was always conscience of the calorie intake and I could never really loose much. In fact I gained weight. Several weeks ago, I went to a Nutritionist that found out I was intolerant to Dairy, Gluten and soy. I change my diet and keep eating the same amount of calories…
  • Yes, there are differing opinions out there. I have the same issues as you. By the sounds of it, you are only having a small amount so I would not worry. My nutritionist said that I should have either rice or almond milk over soy. Reason - soy causes similiar issues with me as normal milk but I would have to a lot more soy…
