  • Yes you need rest days. It allows your muscles to recover. It can be an active day, but walking or gardening, or something very low impact as such.
  • I started crossfit late Febuary. I LOVE it. Yes you must have good a box. I love my box because they stress form above weight which means you must have good form before you can add weight. A good box will put through an on ramp or beginner class before you start so they know where you are at on basic moves. You will…
  • The latest one....I can comfortably wear my sons hunting bibs size youth large.
  • I haven't seen too many people respond to the PCOS note which is a HUGE clue! I have PCOS, but my sugar levels have always been ok so I never took medication for it which is diabetic medication, typically metforim. My dr. told me I would have to work 4 times harder than the average person to lose weight because of the…
  • I started with Asics GT 2000 and they are great. I have a pair of Brooks Adrenaline. Love those as well. Just started running last August. I had bought another pair of Asics in between there and they were hard. I was told you get what you pay for with Asics.
  • The biggest clue you spoke...TOM. Our bodies burn 100-300 more calories a day during that time which is why we are hungrier. Give yourself a break although I know you just started, I am talking mental as well. It should subside in a day or two. Also how many calories were you consuming before you started calorie reduction.…
  • You are truly the most inspiring story I've seen so far and I've been on here for two years! LOVE LOVE LOVE. I am in awe of you!
  • I feel so much better! Even much better than just a year ago!
  • At that weight I would imagine you could fluctuate water weight 5-15lbs. PCOS just complicates that. It also depends on what TOM of the month it is. I gain 3-5lbs the week before, but lose all that the week of. As long as the typical low keeps getting lower you are doing good. I have tried to find my triggers to holding…
  • Awesome!!! You are doing great and look great!
  • 1.) I love living. 2.) I love exercise. 3.) Any pain I have is from pushing myself and not from having too much stuffing on me.
  • Try outside running. it is so much better than being on a treadmill.
  • I like you hated running in high school. I started C25K last August and I LOVE running now! The first two weeks are free so go that far and it is only 1.50 after that or it was when I used it last fall. Get some good running sneakers. Good shoes vs. bad shoes will make your running experience worlds apart! Your symptoms…
  • Start fresh tomorrow. You know what to do make healthy choices. I would invest time figuring out why you are bingeing. Once you find that trigger you can then come up with a solution so that you don't do this going forward. If you need professional help get it.
  • Good advice. I've always done circuit dvd's which will tone you. Truly I don't get the mindset of losing all the weight I want then start training to gain weight and muscle. Why not do it all once! Anyway doing it that way in my own house got me to 60lbs in two years. I joined a crossfit box about a month ago. So I do that…
  • It really depends on SO much. How much do you have allotted for yourself for the day? What are you eating? Healthy foods will keep you fuller longer and junk food, i.e. fast food, something out of a package, box, or wrapper is generally unhealthy and will send on a roller coaster feeling full at first but within a couple…
  • You have asked a very hot topic for MFP....don't get discouraged if this post produces some argument. I have PCOS and that is a metabolic condition not hormonal so that my metabolism is already slower than an average person. I try not to eat my exercise calories. You have to figure out what works for you and your body. I…
  • I love your attitude! I think if my mom was still around you would have inspired her! She went to THE party in the sky almost seven years ago. She died of a very aggressive very rare cancer and was obese all of her life. She tried, but I believe had some demons in her past she was not willing/able to face. God has shown me…
  • I've lost 59 lbs in two years. I am not on medication as my sugar levels are normal, but all other levels are off. I do take BC. I started using Chromium in late August. It is a mineral vital to blood sugar. I did it on my own for two years and two weeks ago joined crossfit. I do know circuit training is great for a PCOS…
  • WOW...that's inspiring and awesome and so many more words I don't know.
  • The cayenne pepper is in there for metabolism. you could replace with cinnamon.
  • Friend request sent.
  • I've gone through 7 sizes in two years. I have size 8 shorts in storage under my bed just waiting for spring. I wear 10's now, but I will be in those 8's come May/June! The last time I was in size 8 was one husband, three children and 18years ago. Those clothes are really baggy and I bet at least two sizes too big so I bet…
  • The BEST success story I've seen ever!!! Way to go!
  • I would ask the manager if I could get in to the gym at another time. It's worth a shot. Explain your situation. I would lay it on that a healthy tenant misses work less and therefore better able to pay the bills, etc. You could walk in place. It won't be the same but worth a start. Dancing is good. Just get up and move.…
  • I only do crossfit two days a week. Today was not a crossfit day. It was an at home day. I do walk to warm up on running days so I could walk longer.
  • Is there a gym with a pool where you can do something in the water? A YMCA? Aqua zumba? I think walking is great start and as you loose weight the pain and joint problems will probably go away.
  • Sent you a request. I've been on MFP for two years now.
  • I wish I could help you out here, but I can bump you. :)
