Maintenance Calories
Wondering what your calorie intake is? I use the sedentary lifestyle on settings although I am a stay at home and up and doing light stuff most of the day. I work out 4-6 days a week doing a variety of cardio and weights. I also have PCOS which slows down my metabolism. 1700 calories seems to be a good number where I am…

To Fitbit or not to Fitbit
I've reached goal recently (in the past couple of months) and now in maintenance. I don't have a fitbit, but considering one. Would it still be a good investment to have one for maintenance? Is there another activity tracker you would recommend? Should I just live life like I have or would it be worth it?

GOALLLLL!!!!!!!
My before and after picture. In my before picture I had already lost about 15 pounds. In January of 2012 God pressed my panic button. I was extremely out of shape. I could not climb a flight of stairs or even read a book to my kids without being out of breath. I watched my mom die of cancer at just 65 years old obese at…

Rest Days
Just wondering what everyone's rest day is like? No formal exercise, just a light walk? I feel so guilty doing nothing for a day. Mind you I am a stay at home mom so I am changing pull-ups (trying to potty train), daily dishes, laundry, cleaning, cooking three meals, yes I do for three kids, bath for the littlest and all…

Exercise or Not?
I've been working out 4-6 times a week for two years. Last week I started crossfit. Mondays workout got my legs tight, but I had rededicated to running three times a week so I ran 1.5 miles after the workout. I worked out today to a circuit training dvd I've done almost weekly for over a year. My legs are sore and really…

Body Image
In 21 months I've lost 52 lbs. I am now a medium top. Tonight I was in the clearance section and saw this really cute dress that was a medium. My immediate thought is...that is small there is no way I can fit in that. I scooped it up and off to the dressing room anyway. It fit! When I look in the mirror I don't see it. I…

First 5K
I along with my running partner ran our first 5k today. It was a first for both of us. It was so great! We came in at 38 minutes. We finished week 7 of c25k on Friday so we still have two more weeks of training, but I thought we did great for two old moms. Check one off the bucket list and come next spring when it gets…

Calorie Intake
Do you as PCOS women take in less calories than the "average" person. For instance I've been reading people saying they eat back their exercise calories, which to me I understand, but I can't really comprehend. I have my activity level set at lightly active (at home wife with a toddler at home and always doing something…
