Yes, you do need to eat that much protein to build muscle. I find that the days I eat chicken breast I can get my protein in easily and stay under my calorie goal. I also use those low carb / high fiber wraps( the ones I get are either 50 or 80 calories) as those usually tend to have a higher amount of protein especially…

I've had an IUD of some sort since my son was born in 1994. The last two have been the mirena, I'll say that I was skinnier when I had the first on put in but I was also younger, and a LOT more active. Now that I'm active again the weight is coming off again.....

But then it wouldn't taste like cheesecake. I was looking for a healthy alternative to eating the cheesecake. This not only had less than 100 calories (not including the fruit) but also had 10 grams of protein.

OMG! I literally just complained to my fiancee about that when I was done working out this morning. I don't really have an answer to help you but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I'm a Derby Girl!! I'm currently on a leave for some schooling (How I wish there were more hours in the day!!) but will be going back for our next season. I'm with Mississippi Valley Mayem in LaCrosse WI.......derby is my FAVORITE form of exercise!

1/2 an inch is definately awesome! Good work. I agree that seeing the people in the video about to collapse really does make me feel better about the breaks I have to take. I really thought that I was in pretty good shape...I workout 5-6 days a week at with my heartrate at about 90% of my max and I do stregnth training as well. I needed a new challenge so this will definately be it.:smile:

It's because they see you everday, and the loss was slower. I know I never "see" any of my own loss until I measure or put on an old pair of pants that now are too big to wear.....then it is like a lightbulb went off! WAY TO GO on the loss though!!! that is a major accomlpishment!!!

I'd say if you are on a liquid diet make sure that you are using a good quality meal replacement shake so that you are still getting the nutrients that you need. As far as logging I personally would still do it but not worry too much about staying under or at a calorie deficit, just stay around my maintinence calories. My…

I changed my setting to have 3 meals and 3 snacks. I usually try to keep my snacks smaller in calories but still with some protein and then eat slightly larger calorie meals. My favorite are the GNC Total Lean Shakes. They have chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream ( my Favorite), strawberry and now I think they have a Blueberry one too. They are fantastic, really creamy even when made with water, taste AWESOME and have lots of fiber too.

On days that I'm REALLY unmotivated to work out I tell myself that I will do it for 15 min and then I can stop. I find that by the time I've gotten to the 15 min mark I feel like keeping on with it for the full 45 min that I usually do. Seems like a silly mind trick but it almost always works.
