I'm wondering if you need to drink more water in general. I would say before, but not always "right" before or else it could slosh around. You probably were a little dehydrated to begin with and then ran making it worse. The 2 glasses afterwards was good, but probably not enough to make you "hydrated" again. And, from what…

Maybe have some bananas (potassium) and/or some pickle juice. Sounds weird, but pickle juice helps prevent muscles from cramping, so maybe it would help with that as well.

Bump - so funny I was just wondering this question myself. Just finished my first half a few weeks ago and want to figure out what's next. Thanks for all of the great info on here!

That sounds like it would be delicious on a salad or on a tortilla. A side of beans might be good too.

Yes, I'd like to know that question as well. What is the best for logging calories burned? I've been looking for something but then just get overwhelmed so then I stop. I guess there is a lot to learn! :)

Great, thanks guys! A smoothie might be a really good idea - I could just keep it in my bag and break it out once I get hungry. Its going to be a great day. :)

Hi! Feel free to add me! I'm training for a half marathon on May 6th. My longest run to train so far was 7 miles (this past Sunday). I'd love to be able to share / learn some tips! :)

I agree with everyone. Plus, I find that it helps keep me full longer to help prevent overeating.
-
Oooh, I made these a few months ago and can I just say AMAZING!!!! They are sooo delicious, definitely a keeper! Hope you enjoy!! :)

Well, its definitely going to be more difficult than it was but certainly not impossible. Sounds like you are going to have to do a lot of pre-planning / pre-packing of meals so you can just grab and go and not have to make a bad decision. Do you get a lunch hour at work? If so, could you go take a walk and then eat lunch…
-
Nice!! I'm sure you'll do great if you're already up to 9 miles! My training plan only has me running up to 10 miles before the race where you never actually train the whole distance. BTW - I LOVE your profile pic. Especially since I went running yesterday (7 miles... mine is May 6) and my feet DO hurt today! :)
