I think I'm going to be maintaining mostly now. I'd like to get my body used to this new set-point and see how I feel. My body fat percentage is around 26% now, and I feel pretty good at this amount.

What helped me most in the beginning was: *eating higher amounts of protein *cutting out beer and cheese (dairy) *walking for 1/2 hr 3 days a week *not snacking after dinner *letting myself have what I want every now and then (pizza, hamburger, etc.) It's a challenge when you feel hungry.. try to make sure you're eating…

It took me about 7 months to go from 265 to around 190. When I started dating my current girlfriend I was so lovesick that I had no appetite and didn't sleep well...that helped me get down to 180 in one month. I stayed between 180 - 187 from July 2013 to April 2014. Starting in May of this year, I lost the rest of it. I do…

Thanks everyone! Daniellee...I'm 5'8".

At one point in my lifting career I was regularly leg-pressing 800lbs. Even then my butt never got big or anything? It's nice to know I'm not a freak of nature concerning the tailbone thing, in other areas of my life I'm sure that's still a real possibility, lol! ;). On a side note, I now have a bruise on a bone that I…

I don't have chest hair! Yikes.

Reactive hypoglycemia can be an indication of insulin resistance. You need to do insulin and glucose testing with a glucose challenge test. This is usually done by endocrinologists.

I didn't go into a huge deficit. I currently eat 1600, more on some days. I lift heavy once a week and do about 2 + hours of cardio with high resistance. I try to keep my protein intake high. When I started losing back in December I finally reached my max bench press goal of 200 lbs. I have a lot of lean body weight and…

Hilarious! The old ladies at the Y call them torpedoes!! Lol

How quickly you lose the fat won't help or hinder how the body chooses where to let go of the fat. Mine have went from 44b to a 40c and I still have 30 lbs to go.

Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful suggestions! I will definitely look into buying a cushion like the one posted. My throw pillows keep falling out of the car every time I get out, lol. I remember when I was really young, like maybe 4 years old, bruising my tailbone so bad that my mom thought I broke it. It must have…

It is so interesting... Think about how much more we don't know.

I usually sit leaned back because of a back injury I've had since my daughter was born, so it's probably something I should work on. I'm surprised waxing wouldn't hurt your underarms. I've only waxed my legs before and that hurt a lot, so I figured the under arms would be even worse.

It may not be that the cause is being thin, and that the gut flora being different is the result. It could also be hormones too....and maybe other factors that we don't know yet. I think it is an interesting find though, and gut flora is very important to overall health.

I know about those cysts...my grandma had one. This feels like its inside. I can feel my tailbone tip even...it's gross, haha.

Try the My Recipe" feature on myfitnesspal. I've used it and it works great for figuring out custom foods.

Oh, we'll at 265 lbs, the space under my arms was "filled out" so to speak...there wasn't much of a concave shape...and since I've never been this thin ( 235 when I graduated HS at 17 yrs old) I never knew it would be a problem.
-
I'll talk about it with my doctor, thanks. I must had significant cushioning back there before and this was never an issue. I'm certainly no where near anorexic at this point. I can't imagine how bad it would hurt if I was really thin.

I was on various Antidepressant/ anti anxiety meds for the last few years off and on. I gained weight, and it didn't help enough to curb the anxiety induced over-indulging in alcohol. So I gained about thirty pounds from that. I decided to change to Welbutrin because I heard it has less of that weight gain side effect.…

So that's a "no" for you on the tailbone issue then. Good to know.

Congrats! Your hard work is paying off.

That's what I mean...my midsection drives me nuts. I was wondering if the muscle on the inside was making my belly stick out more than it should or something. Even my mom isn't built like me. She's at her highest weight now of 182. She's 5'8.5 and wears a 10/12. I currently wear a 20/22. At this rate I'll be lucky to make…

That last website can't be right for me...it says I need to weigh 134 pounds as my goal weight.

I have a bod - pod measurement back when I was 234 that said I was 43.2%...so that would be 101.08 lbs of fat, 132.9 lbs of lean mass. If I've lost 9 pounds of fat, which I hope is the case since I'm trying to eat enough protein and lift... So would that be around 40% now? I don't even know if the bod-pod was accurate…
