  • Welcome! I have learned sooo much from this site. I just didn't realize how much I was taking it every day and the poor quality of the foods I chose until I got on here! Its very very eye opening! I have been on here about 7 months but have back slid twice for long periods of time. I've lost about 19 total right now but it…
  • Oooooo ya'll are making me hungry! Thanks for the ideas so far..the light sour cream with garlic and herbs or plain greek yogurt with stuff mixed in sound so good. I never even thought of that!
  • I have found that anytime you are dealing with hormones and the female cycle about anything can happen. I got mirena after my second child and while I didn't gain weight I did not lose either. I got on Mfp about a month later and started working my *kitten* off but progress was slow. I began losing everywhere but my…

  • ME! lol....My lower tummy and butt is where I carry all my weight and the rest of me is thin. I was doing aerobics and although I was losing..these areas were being very stubborn. A few people told me to do some running and I have started doing just that. I feel it in my whole body. I think it really may be the answer. I…
  • and yes, mercury..I think I have also heard you should only have it 3x a week..
  • I love it too! And like previous poster said, I think it's fine unless you're preggo... I mix in a little lite mayo or mustard and eat it with multigrain crackers...soooo good. I love all fish..all the fuel without the heaviness of other meats. I think canned chicken is nasty by the way!! The only thing you have to watch…
  • I exercise when my kids allow me to...sometimes in the middle of the night lol - mom of 14month and 3 year old boys =) I also do a lot of active things with them like playing outside, pulling them around in their wagon and dancing inside if it's rainy so that way I know I burned something even if I passed out without doing…
  • I am right under 5'11 and my hubby is 6'0 even..I love it! However, I have actually dated several men shorter than me..one was only 5'7 but he wore motorcycle boots a lot so that helped (lol) and if anyone ever picked on usa bout it his favorite line was "we're all the same heigh laying down" bahahhaa...sleazy but funny I…
  • Idk if you like hot tea but its a good way to curve your appetite and wind down at night...most teas have zero cals!
  • I have also switched from cow's milk to soymilk or almond and I have always loved seafood and the fact that it gives you so much protein without the "heavy" feeling of other meats I still eat other meats but I'm trying to make it more of an occassional thing rather than everyday.....I do, however, have a terrible cheese…
  • No, but I'm truly very interested in becoming one. I never even knew this term until very recently but the funny thing is, through my wieght loss journey I just began to eat in a similar fashion to what I understand to be "pescatarian" because it gives me results, makes me feel better and well..it just makes sense to me. I…
  • You don't even know how wonderful and odd it was to log in and see this topic. I have been writing since my early teens but have never had much confidence in my writing, even though many friends and family members believe I have what it takes to be published. Yesterday this idea came to me for a fictional coming of age…
  • I'm a 27 yr old mom of 2 little boys...if you can't find time for "real" exercise chase your kids around the house, pull them all around in a wagon, and put on something upbeat and dance with them! This has improved my mood and theirs! Try your best to exercise in some fashion, it will give you more energy (which is a…
  • Honestly girl, this looks like my own food diary on many days and I have lost, slowly..but I have. If you're losing and staying healthy this way I see nothing wrong with what you're doing.

  • Every little bit helps! I was not very overweight when I started, but recovering from a bad pregnancy..struggling to quit smoking..and very out of shape. I remember looking at others' workouts (an hour of zumba..crosstraining..45 mins on an oplitical!!) and feeling so terrible...my first attempts at working out were so…
  • Oh I forgot to add that I am 5"10 (and a half =) )
  • It really goes to show that size depends more on shape, and other factors than weight.. Right now I am 175 and size 10 or 12 depending of the brand.. I've lost 19lbs and only went down a size..and 194lbs I was a size 14... but I look at feel better and less flabby so I'm ok with it...
  • I was 6mos postpartum and went to sub at a school...I found out several students and teachers thought I was pregnant. and a coworker actually flat out asked me..she was, of course mortified when the answer was "NO" .My body wasn't "going back" on its on the second go round and I realized it would take some work this…
  • LOL...really, don't laugh...I have wondering if you can log this..especially, you know the really "creative" kind. It's not in the database though, I have checked! LOL
  • I am with whoever said it depends on the kind of cleaning...I have two little ones so I constantly pick up, wipe off, sweep here and there, dishes, laundry ect..and no i do not count it, I just figure if I do lose more doing these extra things I will be pleasantly surprised in the end..I do however have a day of mopping…
