  • Reduced hunger. Eating breakfast may reduce your hunger later in the day, which may make it easier to avoid overeating. When you skip breakfast, you may feel ravenous later and be tempted to reach for a quick fix — such as vending machine candy or doughnuts at the office. In addition, the prolonged fasting that occurs when…
  • No P90x for me, either - sorry. Starting TurboFire soon and am really excited about it. I have been doing some of Insanity: The Asylum with my husband. I LOVE IT!

  • Way to go and what a great role model you are for your kids!!!! Several of my gym friends swear by spin classes. I have never tried one but they always come out drenched in sweat. Maybe one of these days I will try one.
  • Feel free to add me. I am definitely drama free. :) I am on facebook, too (Cindy Link Womack)
  • Don't skip breakfast! That is the most important meal of the day. How much water are you drinking? After dinner, and before bed, I try to drink at least 4 glasses of water to help keep me feeling more full and less likely to snack. Maybe adjust your meal times so that there is less time between dinner and bed?
  • My biceps are 10". My thighs are 18". I am 5'2" and weigh 107
  • Believe it or not, in time, water will be your preferred drink. I used to be a coca cola addict. Now I rarely drink it. I do, however, always have a glass or bottle of water within reach. I was shocked to see just how many empty calories I was consuming through sodas. Setting an example for your girls and making them your…
  • I eat chocolate and love my adult beverages. I have lost over 20 pounds and kept it off. As long as the "not so good for us" things are consumed in moderation I see no real harm. Feel free to friend me here on MFP. If you are on facebook I am Cindy Link Womack - you can friend me there, too :)
  • Congrats on your weight loss thus far! Having your wife as a fitness partner is going to be instrumental in achieving your goals. I swear by accountability. My husband and I talk every morning about what our workout plans are for the day and what I will be cooking for dinner. On the weekends we go to the gym, together, and…
  • Wow - great weight loss thus far! You obviously have made the commitment to living a healthier life! I bet your family is very proud of you. Feel free to add me as a friend: cindywomack1 on mfp or Cindy Link Womack on facebook
  • Using the food tool here at MFP was a real eye opener for me. I didn't realize how many empty calories I was consuming...a piece of chocolate here, a cookie there, an afternoon can of soda. Make sure you record everything you put into your mouth. I had never tracked calories before and the food tracker was instrumental and…
  • Feel free to add me. I am 44, soon to be 45. I have lost my excess weight and kept it off for over a year now. I wish I had bikini photos of my 20 year old self to compare to me now. I think I probably look better now!
  • My longest is 5 minutes.
  • The average caloric burn is about 600 calories per hour. However, the caloric burn will vary depending on the level of exertion and over all fitness level of the individual doing P90x
  • YAY - 4 pounds is a great start. Stick with it. Make this past Monday the last Monday you start so that from here on every Monday will be just another Monday on your journey to a healthier you!!!
  • Cravings, a lot of the time, are due to thirst vs truly being hungry. We then eat to try and satisfy the craving, which then in turn adds to a our caloric intake, further exacerbating the "food baby". Are you keeping hydrated with water (not diet soda, soda, juice, milk, coffee etc)? Many times, too, craving are caused by…
  • You can do it! Having accountability partners will really help - it is great that you have your family on board with you!!! Trying to go it alone can really be overwhelming. Talk with them daily about the workouts you completed or will complete and what you ate / will eat. Not only will this help you to be accountable to…
  • Love, love, love my foam roller! My daughter's coach calls it "poor mans massage". At first it hurts, but it really helps break up the lactic acid to speed recovery. I go to a masseuse for deep tissue massages once a month but this ties me over between appointments....I love it for my lats.
