OH, and by the way....I fell off the bandwagon 6 times before I took losing weight seriously! So, don't be hard on yourself....pick up and start anew...right NOW....

Don't wait to be in bad health, like I did. Your motivation should be your desire to be healthy, look good for YOU and feel confident about yourself! It's hard starting out, but you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. I chose to join a gym, where I could participate in group execise classes. I also have a…

Hi, there! :flowerforyou: I'm actually doing the Atkins Nutritional Approach as we speak. One thing to keep in mind about Atkins is that the Induction Phase is the most restrictive. You can probably do the Lifetime Maintenance Phase and still lose weight, and you're going to get plenty of fruits and vegetables that are…

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with all of us. I, too, have more than 100 pounds to lose, but I'm taking it day by day. I am trying to work out and keep myself in motion so my skin won't sag. But, I understand that even the best of workouts don't always keep the skin taut like it should, so surgery may be…

Do you like decaffeinated iced tea? Add a couple of Splenda packets to 8-12 ounces of tea, and you'll have a nice flavor to a drink that's all water!:flowerforyou:

Hello! Yes, I am a food addict, too! :grumble: Started off in college with the Freshman 15  , then had a child and added on about 25 more  , and then had ANOTHER child and gained more weight after his birth than when I was 9 months pregnant due to stress :frown: , and then went through a rough divorce which…

I read one of those, and it's all about that daggum Acai berry. WhatEVER! I tried the juice, and it just wasn't for me--very bitter and THICK. I guess you have to try it to see if you like it. But, basically, it's a fad. The Acai berry itself may be a good antioxidant, but there's not a product on the market that has the…

I once tried the peanut butter and apple diet. After about a day of peanut butter and apples, I thought I'd die. You were supposed to get "filled up" from the fiber, and get enough protein and curb your sweet tooth with the combination of the two. Yeah, right.

Congrats! I can't wait to leave Lane Bryant, Avenue and Roman's alone!

Just log the day as you usually would, and don't worry about Friday! You did an EXCELLENT job today! :flowerforyou: And, remember you can look at your overall results for the week--the counter keeps track of your daily entries, so you'll have a better idea of your OVERALL results. Keep up the good work! And remember,…

I would say "NO" to the Hydroxycut--any of them! I am 35 years old, and about 7 years ago I was on the Hydroxycut kick. Yes, I initially dropped about 25-30 pounds in a few months, but I had the jitters, lost sleep, and my body lost essential vitamins and nutrients because when you don't eat, you don't get the benefits of…

From what I've read from various weight loss experts--including Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser)--you have to "trick" your body into jump starting weight loss by altering a high calorie meal with a low one. So, if you usually are allowed say 1400 calories per day, then one day you'll have to increase the intake by about…

Maaaan, y'all make Laughing Cow sound like the platinum cheese of the world! I think I'll buy some, too! :drinker:

Italian can be tricky--especially with the sauces and noodles! I usually stick to minestrone and a nice salad with plenty of tomatoes, olives and a "hint" of parmesan cheese! Good luck to you! Maybe the restaurant has a website where you can view their menu items????:ohwell:

Welcome to MFP! :flowerforyou: The message boards are great for support! Sometimes you have a "blah" day :grumble: and you just need to vent! Everyone is so great! Good luck with your healthy lifestyle endeavors, and here's wishing you the best! :drinker:

Don't worry, girl! We all have those moments! I had mine on Monday with McDonald's. Every now and then I think my body needs to absorb some bad stuff so that I don't completely fall off the wagon! The important thing is to remember MODERATION. You can't have Burger King two and three times a week and expect to look…

I know it's available at my local grocery store. I'm not for certain if Wal-mart carries the brand, but if you find it try it out!

Lately, I've had tuna or low fat chicken salad (low fat from the salad dressing in it) and I either wrap it in lettuce leaves or eat it on toasted reduced calorie sourdough bread. I'll eat a handful of grapes or grab some baby carrots to go with it to balance out my meal. I wash it down with green or black tea.

I have a sweet tooth that's out of this world, and I was looking for new ways to satisfy my sweet tooth without adding a lot of calories. I tried a product called "Ideal"--it's a sugar made from xylitol that's naturally made in our bodies, and it's great! I have baked cookies and made my kids Kool Aid with it, and they…

It depends on what your eating and what time you're weighing in! Sodium can alter your weight. And usually you weigh more in the evening than in the morning. And if you're working out you may be gaining muscle! It will be okay!

You quit smoking! Good for you! You can kick your old eating habits just as you have smoking! Welcome aboard, and good luck to you! :flowerforyou:

Good for you! :flowerforyou: Keep up the great work!

I'm working my way to getting that full feeling! I've just started, and have heard that once you change certain things about your water intake and nutrition the fullness will come naturally!
