  • I lost 23lbs when my little guy was born on Dec. 31st, then gained 10+ back! I just got my period last week and have lost 5 or so pounds of probably water weight. I feel so much better. I think much of the bf weight is hormone related and fluid retention! And snacks. Lots of snacks. :) Looks like there are lots of gals…
  • I won't be eating after 8pm, unless it's a real meal that I missed because the day went long, or if there is a special event with loved ones. This will cut out the mindless bedtime snacking and give my insides a rest! It makes me cranky if I eat before bed, so this will be an improvement in me for sure. :)
  • I was a mountain biker and road biker and probably have genetically more muscular legs. In the last few years, I have started distance running, which I am sure has helped; however, I have also started yoga and doing a ballet dvd workout! It doesn't take much to make already strong legs feel long and lean. Plus, it's okay…
  • As long as I know I am plenty full and have had the right nutrients for the day, I try to change my behavior when I'm craving a snack at night--focus my mind on something other than food. First, I drink some water or tea, and then I DO something. I paint my nails, do a chore I've been putting off, or take a bath!
  • That's so funny you mentioned Bailey's, because that's the first thing that came to my mind!
  • I paint my nails. A lot! It helps at night when I know I've been healthy and active all day and don't want to mess it all up! Also...hobbies! Keeping busy is the trick for me. Crocheting, outdoor activities, reading... As long as you are eating enough and getting all of your nutrients, just try to find ways to stay busy!
  • Don't eat while watching tv, and don't eat in your comfy pants! :)
  • This JUST happened to my coworker on Wednesday, and by Thursday, Amazon had rush-shipped her new order to her. She received it last night!
  • I made something similar last year...and served it with ginger snaps!
  • Oof! My boyfriend of 6 years is 5'4" and 115 pounds soaking wet... I win! :)
  • I work with Alexandra, and she had me try a bunch of different goodies, and they really were amazing! If she hadn't told me where they were from, I would have assumed they were home baked or from a different fancy bakery...
  • papersparrow and flipipino_wardog, I'm from Hayward, verrrry close to Rice Lake! TCASMEY - I went to St. Olaf! I like this thread... haha

  • Yep! Just finished off a bowl of cereal... :)
  • Feel better soon!
  • Perhaps you could donate the clothes you're getting rid of, and use the donation as a tax deduction! Then, you're helping someone else AND getting a little money back :) Congrats on the needed purchases!
  • Also, Yogi brand tea makes a tea called "Get Regular." It helps a lot, but you shouldn't use it for prolonged time periods, or your body will "need" it...

  • Are you using ground flax seed? I think it needs to be ground to be digested by those of us with tricky systems...

  • I paint my nails and do the "works." Buffing, filing, moisturizing, etc. Then, my nails look nice, and I don't want to touch anything while they are drying :) And, it usually keeps me from eating because I'm bored :D
  • I tried to post an old link that I often refer to...only it's now expired :) Of course, good old-fashioned cardio is the key, but I also like to do some ballet moves when I'm watching tv. I'm sure you could google them, but they are very nice and relaxing, and they are basically different kinds of leg lifts and squats. I…
  • I got my very favorite super cute racerback tank and matching cropped pants at Walmart last spring, on supersale :D I think both pieces came to $15 total at the most, haha :) They look and feel like my more expensive workout items!
  • I would say a teaspoon or two the first day -- just try it little by little to see what your body prefers. I think a lot of people put it in shakes to hide the funny texture -- but I just chug it :)
  • I use it when I am unable to go to the bathroom...instead of metamucil, miralax, or some kind of pill. It just helps things move along, but not in the same way as insoluble fiber. When ground, it's sort of gelatinous in water. It's soluble and much, much easier on my insides than any cereal or drug-store remedy...
  • Ground flax seed!
  • I say just enter in the amount of calories on the back, and call it good!
  • I was going to post about the same topic! Even if I take my vitamin with food...I get soooo nauseated. I'll try the chewables :)
  • I can drink 4 cups of coffee and fall asleep! I've never felt a boost from caffeine! Sad...! haha
  • I like to put a little spoonful of homemade raspberry jam in mine :)
  • My brother, sister, and I are all in our 20's now, but my parents still continue our favorite tradition. Tucked in our stocking every year are three recipes from 3 people who've been a part of our lives that year -- professors, buddies, older friends, co-workers, etc... After all these years, we each have a recipe box with…
  • My [female] coworkers who pee all over the toilet seats. These are nice bathrooms, not stalls. Either sit on a seat cover or clean off the seat if you hover and miss. Seriously people. This is disgusting.
  • Have you been irregular, bloated, or retaining water? I found that when I started to eat a lot of great raw veggies, they didnt digest well, and I had a lot of weight gain and got bloaty and retained a lot of water. A changed in diet, even when it's good foods, can be hard on your system and take awhile to work itself out.…
