  • I honestly think men are afraid of their wife making more than them. I know my husband would be. A few years back we had some problems in our marriage and saw a marriage counselor. After talking to both of us individually, he basically told my husband that if I had to, I could raise the children on my own. On the other…
  • The pictures on the left I was almost 400 lbs. The ones on the right I am at about 245 lbs.
  • The thing about celebrities loosing weight, is that they can afford to have personal trainers come in for hours a day plus they are able to hire people to cook for them. The rest of us that have normal lives aren't able to do that. I wish I was. Every day is a struggle just to not put that cookie in my mouth. I also like…
  • I could have written this post. I had my surgery 7 years ago. After loosing 160 lbs, I gained back 60 then lost 67 then gained back 30. I've never liked roller coasters so I'm getting off this one. I'll send a request.
  • I'm an oldie but kind of starting over. I had a setback and ended up gaining back some weight. I reset my lbs lost back to 0 last week and am starting over again. I log in every day and try to be as encouraging as possible. I'll send a friend request. Good luck :)
  • Hi. I'm an oldie but kind of starting over. I had a setback and ended up gaining back some weight. I have now recommitted. I'll add you as a new friend.
  • My husband and I were preparing to adopt our second child. Because I was so overweight, I couldn't have my own. After trying everything, I finally made the decision to have gastric bypass. That was 7 years ago. I was almost 400 lbs when I had this done. I am currently down to 250 but have been as low as 227.
  • You and me both!! I make goodies every year to give out to my neighbors. I think I ate at least a pound of penuche fudge all by my self. Between that and the peanut butter, chocolate rice krispy bars, I'm scared to death to get back on that scale.
  • If you are a DD, I don't think you'll loose that much. You may get to a C, but that depends on how much weight you plan to loose. I'm now a 40 D and always wore a 50 DD before I started loosing weight. Of course, I never went and had myself measured for a decent bra before now. I really think I was bigger than that.
  • I live in Utah. I'm within an hour of several wonderful ski resorts. I have never gone in my life.
  • I take a vitamin B complex. Not only does it give me energy, but it also boosts metabolism. I just get it in the vitamin isle. The one I take is made by Nature Valley and is labeled Super-B Complex.
  • I hope to be able to have skin removal surgery after I loose the last 70 lbs. I started out at 396 lbs and I'm now starting to look very flabby. I'm also looking forward to buying an outfit from and regular store. Up to now, I've been buying my cloths at the thrift store because I'm not in a size very long.
  • I'm still a work in progress.I have about 70 lbs to go to get to my goal weight.
  • I hear ya. My name is Alicyn which many people shortened to Al. I had a couple of boys in high school that would follow me around singing the Fat Albert theme song but would say "It's Fat Al!!" To this day, I can't watch that show.
  • My brother lives in New Jersey and only comes home (Utah) twice a year. When he came home for a week in July, it had been since Christmas that he had seen me. In this time I lost about 50 lbs. My mom and sisters have had a really hard time with my weight loss. They are all slightly overweight but aren't doing anything…
  • I don't know where you work, but with me, when I'm at work, when I have a couple of free minutes, I'll do 20 squats or wall push ups or even some jumping jacks. I usually this 2 or 3 times while I'm there.
  • I actually know this. Meat is 2-4 oz, veggie and fruit is 1/2 cup each and bread serving is 1-2 oz. I work as a cook at a child care center and we have to follow the national nutrition guide. Typically what I will do is have the serving of a 6-12 year old. That 2 oz meat, 3/4 cup fruit and veggie together, and 1 oz bread.…
  • When I started I was a size 32W pant and 4/5X shirt. I am currently in a size 18W pant and 14/16W shirt. I still have about 60 lbs to go so I'm not sure what size I will be.
  • I got married when I was 30, which is taboo here in Utah  Don't rush into anything. I will never regret the friends I made or the people I met.
  • So true!!!! I also like Good time by Carly Rae Jepson/Owl City.
  • I need them too. I've already sent you a request.
  • This was the post I was replying to.
  • I was actually trying to quote a previous post saying that when they did a bunch of squats, sitting on the toilet was painful.
  • I had to laugh at this. At the beginning of the summer I had done a bunch of squats and walking down stairs for the next few days was painful. My whole family was in town and had a good laugh while they were here.
  • When I feel it for the next couple of days. Even though I hurt, it's a good hurt.
  • I grew up in a small town in Northern Utah ( Morgan, Utah). I loved growing up there. I lived on a small farm. The schools were small so you knew everyone. My graduating class was 112. My parents still live there and I love to go visit often. I love driving down the road and having everyone wave to you. Sadly, housing has…
  • Mine wasn't coffee but Coke. I would start at 4:30 a.m. and would drink 4-5 44 oz drinks a day. When I finally gave it up it was so hard. The first day I had such a headache that I couldn't stand it. I bought a box of caffeine pills. The first few day's I took 2. Then for the next few days, I cut it down by a half. I did…
  • When my sister moved into her house there were always weird things happening like leaving a light on when they went somewhere and when they got home, the light would be off. Or hearing footsteps when you were downstairs like someone walking across the kitchen upstairs. There was a room in the house that my niece would…
  • You are an inspiration!!! I've had no motivation lately but seeing these helps me know I can do it. I still have about 60 lbs to go. Thank you for sharing.
