To be fair calories are a pretty useless unit of measure anyway, if you are counting calories to the Nth degree there will always be a factor of error even the foodstuff may be more calorie rich than claimed..... however....40% is a high discrepancy! why not trim the V02 max number down manually so that the burn matches…

could this high reading be a spike/interference or a slipping hrm strap, does it shoot from 150 thu to 200 and drop instantly or id it steady at 200 for a number of minutes?

i find that stationary cycling can be really boring unless you have a workout plan, i,e intervals at high Hr to probably 80% or higher for given periods and then recovery periods. 5 min on 2 min off (5 sets) the fact you have to concentrate getting over the burning sensation in you legs and breathing effectively takes away…

i do know the H7 works with RF and bluetooth, i have had it working with cheap HRM watches and all the cardio machines in our gym.. i`ve gone from H7 to H6 recently because it is lighter and smaller and that has the same functionality

i would end up eating my own arm or fainting if had that little amount of energy to survive on. try it, but when you have weekends where you feel like complete trash and you don't feel like getting up on sunday/monday morning put it back :) out of interest what intensity are your working out at and what would be your goal…

im not a runner but once did a fitness test for running just after an hour spin class, it was called the cooper test. i completed 2700 meters in 12 mins - which equates to 7.06 mins per mile.... i too am a low grade social misfit who likes to be invisible... but this year i`m going to take a newbie under my wing and make them HURT!!! thus being totally helpful to the person, practicing my social skills and also loving the laughs at otherpeoples DOMS

My rule is that if i can do over 60 seconds i am wasting time, i could be doing something else like weighted side bends i get a back pack, fill it with bottles of water/Dumbells etc and make sure i fail within 60 seconds i try to build the core strength rather than its endurance :)

i remember when i managed to get enough courage to use an elliptical machine; advancing from a sit down bike... i lasted 4 mins... you will be in pain until your muscles get used to being used, once you are through this it will get easier.... you should work out / rest on alternating days until your muscles have adjusted…

Buy a used commercial machine... go test it out prior to payment and you`re onto a winner.. over here we can get 5-8 year old ex gym equipment at very reasonable prices.

the ones who say "i lost 10lbs in a week with [name your diet]" i always jump in with... were you stiffing your face the previous week and showed restraint the week you were on it? so you had 10 lbs of food inside you? i then tell them nobody can shift 10lbs of fat in a week These are usually the ones who get disheartened…
