I drink Diet Coke from time to time and it truly does have zero calories. It does have a good amount of sodium though and I find that Diet Coke makes me crave carbohydrates more. Water is always the best option, but Diet Coke isn't terrible once in a while.0

I am sure this is stating the obvious, but just because it has zero calories doesn't mean it is good for you Anything in moderation, right? Water is best. You know for sure that doesn't have calories. Have a great day.0

If you don't like Coke, then why drink the Diet Stuff?
I find that I can taste the sugar substitutes in those sorts of things and I'm learning they could be a migraine trigger for me.
Many people will say that the artificial sweetener can also cause you to crave more sugar.
Diet Coke made with Splenda also tastes like Diet Coke. -blech!-
It also seems to make me pretty bloated, but I think that isn't anything to do with it being "diet" just the fact that it is carbonated.
Personally I think Diet Pepsi tastes better and Coke Zero isn't so bad.0 -
I only ever use full fat coke,........ For cleaning oil off the driveway.....
Apparently the chemical sweeteners in the diet versions also cause cancer, according to my aunt0 -
I found that cutting out ALL sodas has helped me lose weight the most. But having been such a soda worshiper, I had to overcome the horrible caffeine headaches. Substituting caffeinated green tea has really helped, its yummy and still gives me that morning boost I need0

yuk.,
This. I'm not a fan of the artificial sugar taste.0 -

A 12 oz. can of Diet Coke has 40 g of sodium. It's a negligible amount.0 -
Fear of calories is never a good sign, but if you want the Diet Coke, drink it. It is not the devil, it is not bad for you, it will not cause cancer, it will not make you gain weight (that would be a calorie surplus) etc.0 -
Well, I can see that soda/coke is quickly becoming the topic of the day.
Drink diet soda if you don't want the calories. If you don't like diet soda, drink regular and fit it into your calorie goal. If you don't want carbonated beverages at all (for whatever reason), then just don't drink them.0 -

If you fear the calories in diet coke I think you likely have bigger issues than the coke itself.0 -
No calories in Diet Coke...it's made with artificial sweetners, not sugar. BUT, it's still not good for you. Read up. Your body does not know how to process anything artificial so it does more damage than you might imagine.
Here is an article about the effects of that stuff. My suggestion is to stick with water or green tea. If you have to have a coke on occasion (on occasion!) then have a full fledged coke, no diet stuff.

The taste of coke>>>>>>>>>>green tea, and it will never be close.
Go ahead and drink diet coke. Some people get headaches/migraines from aspartame, but if you don't, you should be fine. Just don't drink it in excess.0
