  • Shirts: a tight 3XL and now wearing smalls Pants: 48" waist and now 30-32"
  • I like both, though I tend to only get asparagus when it's in season from a local farm. Also, broccoli doesn't make your pee smell as badly as asparagus does.
  • 51.5% so far. Going to try for another 10lbs which would put me at 54.4%.
  • Down 160lbs I think I'd be frightened if that were true. However...I won't say there isn't a noticeable change :p
  • My average for the last 540 days, 113lbs is 1.46 lbs per week. Here are my losses in 90 day intervals. There are times it would stall for a couple of weeks, but it would then drop quickly catching up to what i expected.
  • In addition to my butt getting sore sitting on hard surfaces, I bruised my spine taking a bath over the weekend. Not that comfortable laying on my back now either :(
  • 5'10, 280 to 161lbs. Want to get the belly a bit smaller, but not sure I want to lose much more weight. This summer will be all about working to build muscle.
  • Mine was at 350 (which is too borderline low in my mind for a 33 yr old guy) when I weighed 280 lbs. I had it checked again when I was at 220lbs and it was up to 575, and I'm hoping it's back up to a more average 700 now. Replacement therapies scare me far too much to try.
  • As of this morning I'm exactly half of my starting weight! 330 to 165 I took a break for a while as you can see in the graph, but picked up again a year and a half ago and haven't stopped since.
  • Still a work in progress. My before picture isn't me at my highest, but when I refocused on doing this long term. 5'10", this is from 284 to 166 and has taken me about a year and a half. Not sure how much more I want to lose, though I'm pretty sure I've done enough damage that the skin will always be an issue. But I'll…
  • When I was 100 lbs heavier, my fingers didn't touch around my wrist. When I was 50 lbs heavier, my fingers barely touched. Now my fingers overlap. What's my frame size?
  • Really depends on the brand and fit. I'm 5'10 and at 168 and mostly I'm wearing 32's. - Nautica relaxed jeans are too loose at a 32 - Affliction and Buffalo jeans fit well in a 32 - Dockers classic fit are good in a 32 - Dockers straight fit needs a 33-34
  • Yes, same for me...as well as my back :)
  • I think a Fitbit is more of a pedometer than a HRM. I have a Polar FT7 I use while doing cardio and it seems to be fairly accurate for calories burned. It shows the calories burned right on the screen. As for the heart rate being lower, I had the same question when I started taking a beta blocker. It dropped my HR during…
  • Sorry about that, when I get to my next goal I'll post back pictures, some more hair there :)
  • 330, down to 201 as of this morning. I doubt this stomach is going to spring back to perfect shape, but I'm ok with that. Not being sweaty and tired walking for 30 minutes, shopping at normal clothes stores, not worrying about fitting into a restaurant booth, feeling better than I have in 10 years...all are worth having…
  • I would hold off on the Testosterone therapy and work on losing weight first. Mine was at 350 (low normal) and after losing 100 pounds it was up to 600 (haven't checked again for the last 30 lbs). Excess body fat converts testosterone into estrogen. You don't need high T-levels in order to lose weight.
  • I agree with some of these, just want to post some observations/rebuttals :) After a while, your stomach gets used to eating less and you'll find you're full from eating far less than you used to. It was a little taxing in the beginning, however you'll find you eat mostly the same things each week so adding them becomes…
  • When I started exercising my weight stalled for a full month. I just kept going and suddenly one morning it dropped 7 lbs and didn't go back up the next day. Don't let it discourage you, as long as you're accurately logging your calories I would be 99% sure it's just your body retaining water.
  • Not worrying about if I'll fit into a restaurant booth or not is a big one for me. I would dread being invited to certain places where I knew I would be in silent pain sucking in my gut the whole time. Also, being able to walk around the mall without looking like I just jumped out of the shower because of the sweat beading…
  • I would take the clothes off for the pics, and take different angles than just straight on. Sometimes the loss was more noticeable in the butt or back than it was in the stomach. I would say after 30 lbs I was definitely able to tell a difference in pictures, though I took them without a shirt/pants on.
  • Family and friends noticed/mentioned something after about 20-25 pounds. Since getting new work clothes recently, I've been getting comments nearly every day from coworkers. I imagine they noticed before, but it became much more obvious without shirts making me look like a jack-o-lantern in December.
  • 5'10, highest was 329, currently down to 225. I'm saving the before/after pics until I'm under 200, which should hopefully be around the end of July. Ultimately I'd love to get back to where I was when I graduated college, right around 175-180.
