I woke up from a horrible nightmare that my grandmother, who celebrated her 92nd birthday yesterday, had died. Hearing her voice this morning filled me with love and comfort.

When I'm feeling down (or have a headache), exercise makes me feel better. But I agree, it's hard to get motivated. Just decide you're going to do it for five minutes and see how you feel after that. Take a walk, do jumping jacks, just MOVE!

I'm on week two, day two. I just purchased a HRM to go along with it and normally have a 'race' scheduled on my 'off' day. I say 'race' because I typically walk half and jog half. I was about to say the same thing, so I'm just going to go with DITTO. FYI - I heard a conversation on the radio last week about this exact same thing, and they said red, white and black are all no-nos.

I feel like that is not a reasonable amount to lose in that time frame. Sounds like he's setting himself up to 'fall off the wagon' and start over eating. That's what happened to me last year. I lost 45 pounds and then gave in to the junk food and gained back 20.

Congrats! My first 5K was last weekend. My second is tomorrow. Then I'm moving up to an 8K and a 10K. I found that if I scheduled a bunch of races, I felt more motivated. However, it's been pouring down rain here for the past week, so I decided to start INSANITY. I don't know what I was thinking - my entire body hurts!

Small chicken caeser side salad (it's half of the lunch size portion. i'm having the other half for dinner.) and a slice of cheese pizza. I'm actually having the exact same thing for dinner. It was super duper tasty and right around 400 calories.
