Hello. I've been starting and re-starting myself. I've been back at it a week and I feel much better already. You can do it! Just stay the course! -jd :)

I am a counselor and I work with troubled teens. If a teen client reported to me that they are currently being abused, and are currently in danger of being abused, I would be legally and ethically obligated to report it and to inform their parents. However, if you are over 18 and the abuse happened years ago and you are no…

My weight plateaued for about 3 months and I just got it to start dropping again. I had to seriously increase my exercise. I started riding my bike 17 miles a day, 5 days a week which burns (for me) an extra 1,000 calories. I'm eating about 2,000 to 2,400 so I'm definitely not eating them all back (but not starving myself…

I'm a stay home, homeschooling dad by day and a therapist for troubled teens later on.

Damn, you're hot! Well done!

Part of the problem, I think, is that our culture lies to us and tells us that we should be with someone "perfect" and that anything less than perfect is "settling". We sometimes build up an ideal, fantasy, romance in our minds, but no partner in reality can live up to that ideal. So, people bounce around from partner to…

I would want to be like Dr. Manhattan in the movie The Watchmen and be able to manipulate all matter at the molecular level. At the end of that story he left the Earth to create his own planet with life on it just to see what would happen. If you're going to dream... dream big! :)

Woops... based on that subject line I thought you were going to say: "I am a man of wealth and taste." :) But welcome to MFP! Good luck towards your goals! You can do it!

"What we have here is a failure to communicate."

Nope, no tattoos here. Two words: distinguishing marks. What if I decide to change careers and lead a life of crime? Tattoos are just one more way for the cops to track you down. :)

Great job! You look awesome!

Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn. Mmm.... :)

I haven't had an ex in over 20 years. I barely remember them. I'm still friendly on Facebook with one or two girls from high school, but that's about it. None of them are in my phone. Those ships sailed a long time ago.

We met in our first year of college. I was 22, she was 19. This month is our 17th anniversary. She either really likes me or this is the world's most pointless long con. :)

Poor posture. I see so many otherwise attractive women who look like they're practicing to develop a hump in later life.

My favorite childhood memory is when I was 9 years old and my parents sent me to Disney World alone.

You're hot. Do you need it more specific than that?

You look awesome! Very well done! :)

I think they call that "Muscle MILF." :)

If you want to see what happens to real women (not body builders or steroid takers) who pump iron take a look at this: http://nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/ I showed my wife this article and she said: "I want to be her!!!" Now my wife gets up with me at 6am several days a week…

Great story. Well done! You've put in a ton of work on improving yourself and it really shows. My hat's off to you! -jd

Give yourself permission to take a week or even 2 weeks off. Eat good, but don't kill yourself to be perfect. If you're feeling tired, you're probably tired. Give yourself a chance to rest. But give your break a deadline and when it's over, get back to work and kick some *kitten*!

You look great! Keep it going! Be mighty!

You may want to start with using your own body weight and work your way up to weights. Check on the book called: "You Are Your Own Gym" on Amazon. Good stuff.

Check out the book: You Are Your Own Gym on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Your-Own-Gym/dp/0345528581/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335110355&sr=8-1 It is a guide for strength training exercises and not aerobic exercises, but follow this routing 4 days a week and wear my HRM while I workout. I burn anywhere from 160 - 400…

Hello, Mark! I'm JD, also 42. I'm from the Detroit area in the States. Just stick with it and you can do it. In 2009 I was about 275 pounds and today I'm a bit over 240. Not a my goal yet and I have a way to go, but I'm determined. If you haven't already, consider strength training. It's not a way to lose weight fast,…
