No, I haven't had an eating disorder. I mainly did it to have a better relationship with food. I felt that food controlled me rather than me feeling in control. I have learned some valuable principles, but I'm beginning to doubt that it's the right fit for me.

I think this is such a good point...finding out what is holding you back. I don't hate exercise...in fact I enjoy it when I do it. And I don't hate healthy food...I like fruits and vegetables. But I guess I'm lazy and I don't make my health a priority. When I prep meals ahead of time I do great! But I don't make the time…

I went in to MFP and entered my info under "Goals" and set it at losing 2 lbs/week. It set my calorie intake at 1,240 but I felt like that was kinda low so I decided to set my goal at 1,300.

I make egg omlet muffins. Mix a dozen eggs with a little bit of milk. Spray a muffin tin. Add egg mixture to tin, distribute evenly. Then add desired meat, cheese, veggies & bake at 350 til they rise & are golden on top. I love these for a quick breakfast!

I've been telling myself for the past two weeks to get up early and do my workout so I don't let other things get in the way. I've set my alarm early, I've set out my workout clothes...but today was the first day I actually did it! And it feels awesome...even if I did have to get up at 5am :smile:

I really like it! You can get a free 30 day trial. Everyday they post a different full body workout or you can choose from various programs if you want to do tabata, HIIT, pilates, etc. The programs give you a workout schedule & usually last a couple months.

New to this group. I need some suggestions, we're temporarily living with my parents and I have no exercise equipment or hand weights. The only non weight arm exercises I can think of are chair dips, push ups. Suggestions?

I think I will struggle mainly with grains and dairy. But also I HATE cooking...but easy food has got me in trouble weight-wise and health. Also, my husband will not be on board and that makes it hard too.

Thanks. Last week was my first class and I thought I could do 3x/week. I only did that one on Wed because I was SO sore!! I've been sore before, but never like that!! I have an appointment with one of the trainers that also does nutrition counseling. I think they encourage Paleo....trying to get used to the idea :-)

crista_b: That's the site I found too. But the kind of dutch oven cooking I'm talking about is without electricity. The dutch oven has three legs and a flat lid and you put hot coals under it and on top of it to cook the food inside. But thanks for helping out :-)
