Great advice Meredith, especially the fuel your body part. I have to constantly remind myself to eat my calories back, at least most of them. I tend to get excited and happy if I see a large deficit at the end of the day, but I'm working out so much, I know I can't do that to myself. :)

Those are awesome goals! I am about to hit 40 and am all about getting fit to do things in the real world, not just the gym, and not just to be thin/look better. Love hiking--don't get to do much of that here since moving to the Netherlands! Would love to follow your journey. It will be inspiring!

I do both, but mostly the gym. I get bored easily, so I do zumba, bodypump, x-co, bodycombat, pilates, yoga, circuit training. Lots of variety. Last week I played soccer and basketball for the first time. That's the most sore I've EVER been! If I'm at home and can't make the gym for some reason, I use a lot of the videos…
