My goal is to start jogging again after I lost the habit a few months ago. It's so easy to stop, but so hard to start. :(
-
Good start to the week (cycled to work and back, salad for lunch) and I only had one of those lovely biscuits that a colleague brought back from their Italian holiday.

I have to hang my head in shame and confess that I haven't been using the PS3 as often as i should (lots of missed workouts on the 9-week Program) but the weather has been fairly good until recently so I've been jogging and cycling. Keep moving whichever way you can is my motto!

No change for me Weight -- 143 lbs Waist -- 32 inches I'm aiming to lose a pound by next weigh-in

Ready to go with this on the PS3. I'm also on the PlayStation Network at "skaville1976" to boost the motivation.

As of Sunday, 9 September Weight: 143 pounds Waist: 33 inches

Definitely! That PS3 is giving me dirty looks for ignoring it.

I agree with what Jac said. The weight is holding steady but this week I tried on a pair of old jeans in a smaller waist size and guess what? They fitted! Keep going with the workouts and I'm sure you'll find lots of inspiration and encouragement from this group.
-
Thanks for rounding all these up in one place. Very useful and motivating too!

Did Stixx's workout yesterday and today I really feel it across my chest! It's quite deceptive as you don't tend to notice it too much when you are doing the actual routine. This is also a great opportunity to give your room ceilings a good inspection and note what needs attention!

You can turn off the trainer's voice if it's getting too annoying. Having said that, a strange thing happened this morning while I was going through a routine. I was doing Hip Bridges and the trainer said that you could make the exercise even harder if you lifted your arms off the ground. I swear that was the first time…

Yes, your arms do know they've done some exercise! I tried to replicate a free workout I used to do before I discovered technology and this group. I wanted to give muscle groups a rest before they were back in action again. But it's cumulative as you discovered! Glad you liked it though.

So, on second thoughts, I guess there was some cardio in there after all!
-
Here's my suggestion. It's upper body and core. No cardio in here so perhaps it could be sandwiched between a couple of more active workouts? "Upper body with core" ================== Shoulder rotations Knee tucks Rainbow squats Hip circles ================== Hammer curls with narrow shoulders Flutter kicks Squats with…

Thanks, that's made things a lot clearer. Having re-read the whole post (a lot more slowly this time) I realized that you and embclark were adding dates for each suggested workout. I think I've finally got it!
-
I'm sure Jac will be along shortly to clarify things but I think the idea is for us to come up with a custom workout that we're keen to do and share it here with the rest of the group. People can then have a range to choose from and use in the upcoming challenge. Thinking about it Jac, will we settle on a limited number of…
-
This sounds good Jac. Thanks for moving us on to the next challenge and keeping the motivation level on max. I might look at creating some kind of strength training-type workout with dumbbell lifting, pushups, squats, and crunches as I hope to get my cardio from jogging in the local park and cycling to work.
