If your headache occurs on your forehead, between your eyebrows - it could be sinuses. Do you have allergies?

Dr. Pepper Ten is an interesting drink. It has 2g of sugar (mixed with artificial sweeteners) and is only 10 calories.

I lost weight over diet soft drinks. It had nothing to do with weight gain. Of course I kept the food diary going. My concern is my diet soft drinks a hazard to to my kidney function filtering out the artificial sweeteners.

Do you drink sugar Coke? I am addicted to diet colas. Couldn't find anything wrong with it since it is Zero calories, but recently read that too much artificial sweetners in soda (like more than 2 servings a day) can decrease your kidney function by 30%. So I am trying to cut down to just 1 or 2 a day. If you drink the…

Thanks for sharing! I love both ingredients! Going to try it soon!

Knee swelling could also be an indication of a tear. I would definitely see a doctor if it's still bothering you for a month. Lay off the lower body some, if not, ice the knees immediately after workout to reduce inflammation.

I wanted to add....knee braces are great when recovering! I bought the cheap kind, then an expensive kind from the sports med doctor, but it was too bulky to really do some high impact stuff. (Even thou the doctor told me to avoid high impact, I do baby steps.) Then I bought expensive custom sized knee braces from the…

OMG! It sounds like just what I had! Last year I took up running for the first time in years. I ran with a group running in my neighborhood with lots of cement and hills. I also have tons of stairs at my house. I was doing well and challenged to do speed work, then quickly do long distance runs. I did a mountain run one…

Have you tried drinking a glass of skim milk with your oatmeal? That milk will give you protein and more energy! But I have hunger problems too and go over my calorie limit. I have to be careful of my food choices but I have lost weight even tho I don't meet my calorie goals too often. I used to eat cereal, toast with…

This happens with me sometimes being a working mom. When times are hetic, stress can get you down. I would suggest doing a minimum of 3x a week for cardio and 2x a week for strength training. If you could do more, great! If you can't even do a full workout, do a 15 minute workout...at least. I have DVDs that have 10 to 15…

Great progress! Keep it going!

You do more hip action than knee action.

I love kickboxing! Certain kickboxing is hard on your knees. I started Tae Bo, boxing class, kickboxing class (using boxing gloves and punching bag) for reasons of a permanent knee injury from running. My knees are stronger than what they use to be doing pilates type strengthening and taking bone supplements over several…

One stretch position should be held for 30 seconds to benefit from the stretch.

Stretching is critical after wards. Can stretch before you run, but must warm up first with walking or light jog. If you stretch "cold" muscles you could tear them. I am a big believer in yoga in pilates as cross training with running. I wish someone told me this before I started becoming a runner because I have severe…

Ditto to above. I did it early in the morning almost every day for 30 days January 2009. I thought it was rather hard on my body and my knees kind of hurt. I have to agree with the above, walk to cool down and stretch more after wards. I wasn't dieting at the time but I did see a difference in strength and stamina that…

You can never have too much salad or raw vegetables! But you can have too much salad dressing, cheese, salad meats, croutons, etc. If your hungry, I would add some protein like nuts for a snack. Don't forget 23 almonds is one serving. 50 calorie cheese sticks are good to snack too. If you crave bread, make sure you go with…

Sounds great! I think I will try that one for my hubby. Thanks for sharing!

Good for you! I experience the same sometimes. The main thing is not to beat yourself up about it. We may have mini failures or set backs, but then after rest, we get back on the bandwagon and do great.

If your 5'10, then I would guess 165lbs. You look strong.

I am a slow learner, been divorce for over 5 years, I still forget that my ex will never be civil with me unless he wants something. I can still dream. But if he was civil with me, we would still be married. But that will always be impossible -with him anyway. Hang in there, honey! It gets easier with time!

Kick boxing without the upper body, walking, climbing stairs, jumping invisible rope, squats. Is swimming okay? Modified Yoga?

I can totally relate. Guess I better get off this computer and get some rest so I can do it all over again.

If you think the owner is neglecting the dog, you can report it to the city animal shelter. Some cities fine pet owners for animal abandonment, abuse and neglect.

Wonderful accomplishment! Keep up the healthy lifestyle!

In United States there is a push for restaurants to show their nutrition values. Recently I heard some restaurants lie to attract customers. The safest way is to enjoy your favorites by making it yourself and eating out less.

For light snacks, sometimes I bring cut up bell peppers and string cheese. Get my veggie with some protein. Laughing cow cheese is good but can be pricy. Sometimes I keep dry crunch stuff in my desk when I got the munchies but not really that hungery. I get Kalvi crackers that are like 18 calories a single big cracker.…
