  • I did Insanity before Hip Hop Abs and I wish I had did them in reverse order. I did not like Shawn T because of Insanity because his "counts" are not consistant in Insanity. Insanity isn't as organized as Hip Hop Abs and he took WAAAAAY to many breaks to "check form". Insanity will definately make you…
  • Turbo Jam 20 mins Turbo Fire Fire 30 (my fave)
  • For me... I wear a HRM (especially since Shaun tells you to check it during every workout) every workout and record the calories burned from the HRM in MFP. Create the exercise once then adjust the calories burned according to the HRM reading as I do them. Some days i have higher burn than others. I workout outside and…
  • For me... running on the treadmill has helped me recover from c25k weeks of running outside. My knees would swell when running outside (uneven turfs) and my hip had an unforgiving pain. I recently bought a treadmill to allow me to continue running during the warmer/summer months (TX heat is TOO HOT for outside runs for…
  • No ma'am!! Every NSV is a happy occassion! Insanity is a special kind of hayle for me but it's making me stronger :flowerforyou:
  • Hey there... I think the weighted gloves help more with toning (arms) than anything. I finished Turbo Fire and rarely used the weighted gloves. I lost 21lbs and LOVE Turbo Fire. I'm taking the "Insanity" challenge now and still go back to do a Turbo Fire routine at times. Eating "right" is still a struggle for me and I had…
  • di·a·ry 1. a daily record, usually PRIVATE, especially of the writer's own experiences, observations, feelings, attitudes, etc. source: dictionary.com some people (myself included) prefer to hold themself accountable because they're doing it for themself only. IF a person ask for suggestions or help then of course they…
  • If you're wearing a HRM (and you should since Shaun T tells you to check it throughout the workout) it should capture the calories burned during your workout. In MFP choose "Create A New WorkOut", enter "Insanity - <name of workout>, minutes, calories burned (from your HRM), save it. The next time you do the workout it's…
  • I did this plan for a while with sucess and with a full head of hair. I did not like a lot of the foods so I ended up purchasing the same foods (the one's i liked) over and over again. I quit the program when the cost of items as well as the shipping cost rose. The program works but in order to maintain your loss when you…

  • I'm incline to agree with this, although I have gone off schedule for various reasons. That 55EZ...I struggle to stay motivated to do the whole thing but LOVE Fire 60 (weird). i use to skip the Stretch 40 but NOW...I look forward to it coming up on the schedule and it always seem to come riiiiiight when I need it. All that…
  • ^^^This
  •    That moment when you can increase your speed to a continuous 5+ mph even if it's on the treadmill [bridged C25K to C210K]
  • i used Runtastic with C25K and now with C210K trainer (by Zen Labs) with no issues.
  • X360 Kinect Dance Central Hip Hop Dance Experience Michael Jackson Experience Zumba Any of the outdoor games Or just go for a walk...a workout doesn't have to feel like work to get you results. You just gotta move! :flowerforyou:
  • i use the C210K free program by Zen Labs
  • You should let this thinking go and just run. Slow your pace if needed, get some music pumping in your ears, focus keeping your breathing under control and just run. YOU will amaze yourself :flowerforyou:
  • Five to Six times... Breakfast Snack Lunch Snack Dinner Snack (optional - fruit if hungry)
  • I say take it as a need to re-evaluate your weight loss plan. Why not take the "everything in moderations" approach. Your body won't miss it and you will learn to "Not Overdo It". Do not beat yourself up for minor slip ups, dust yourself off and get back on it. :flowerforyou:
  • Challene (cause I'm trying to match her) and Ali (cause Challene gets off the charts at times and i need to catch my breath).
  • Have you tried EBay? I needed the 15 & 25 HIIT DVDs (missing from my borrowed set) and was able to find them there.
  • I'll even say it's even more mental than phyiscal. Your body will adjust physically to whatever your mind push it to do :flowerforyou:
  • ^^^ THIS!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Being a scale watcher myself I can relate to the need "to see the numbers move". It is generally recommended to weigh yourself once a week, on the same day, at the same time, preferably in the morning before eating. I stick this method. :flowerforyou:
  • ^^^THIS... I'm no running expert but if longer distance is your goal then you may need to lower your pace. My thought is it should be a comfortable run because it's going to be a long run. If you're running fast and your HR is high it doesn't sound comfortable at all. Not saying you need to be doing 13 mins/mile but 8…
  • My numbers did not start dropping until i got a more accurate count of my calories burned. I 1st invested in a Heart Rate Monitor and didn't just go by what the machine said or by the MFP estimates alone. Now I live by the BodyMedia Fit armband and occasionally it has to adjust my calorie burn down because MFP or Runtastic…
  • Is this a new group? can you provide the link to the group? I'm now doing the C210K trainer (started it all over again) and am approching week 10 (just finished w9d2).
  • People with dogs!!! Not all of them (THANK YOU TO THE CONSIDERATE ONES)...the ones with..."Oh he/she don't bite" , the ones that ignore the "Keep 'Em On A Leash" sign and allow their dog to run up to you for a sniff or two, the ones that act like the whole sidewalk should be used for your dog....I don't blame the…
  • A piece of advise from Chalene Johnson to live by IF a healthier you is your goal. You have to schedule time for your workout and make it non-negotiable like anything else that is important in your life. :flowerforyou:
