  • sorry :( that does suck. it sucks to have to stop doing somethign that takes a lot of motivation especially when you're enjoying it AND seeing results. i don't think two weeks will set you back too far and you'll probably be able to jump back in where you left off... rest up!
  • awesome! you're doing great!
  • i haven't had tennis elbow, but have you practiced your form? try to keep your elbows tucked in at your sides and lift comfortably... you will be able to increase your weights as you go along through the program. good luck!
  • okay, so i'm on day like 73 or something and i'm so sick of washing my hair EVERY SINGLE DAY. i get so sweaty during these workouts that i absolutely must wash my hair. usually i can just shower and my hair will be fine, but i'm drenched. it's a good feeling but so annoying, grrrrrrrrr. i also wonder what kind of ponytail…
  • i have a new balance n4 (i think) and it's like $45 at target... check ebay too. you truly are more enlightened about what you're burning with an HRM... i totally thought i'd burn more than 200 calories doing jillian michaels before i got my hrm!
  • whew. workout 12. it looks so easy. i mean reverse fly in plank... you wouldn't think it would be difficult in week 11 and 12, but it is. i used 5 lb weights for it and was saying, "she said 3s, you should have used 3s" the entire time. i really didn't think this workout was too bad though. the cable work really works your…
  • that 3 point pushup is soooooo difficult. my husband in the army even has trouble with it! ;)
  • well, i watched workout 11 and 12 yesterday and i was seriously concerned that i would not be able to finish this workout. all the pushups and stupid chaturanga for 30 seconds, i truly truly thought it was going to be the workout that i was gonna give up in the middle. however, this morning i had no trouble. yeah, pushups…
  • lana kills me in workout 11. she picks up the lightest weights and jillian just stands there until she gets heavier weights. in workout 11 during the warm-up, teri ann starts doing dive bombers instead of down dog thrusters. i also liked teri ann at first because she seemed like she was really trying and it was really…
  • Ok... who is on Week 11 and 12? I start tomorrow.. I know there are a few of you out there a head of me. I unfortunately cheered too quickly about no more dive bombers... then I watched workout 11 and saw they are back but this time they're forrrr real.
  • i got the original one and i hated it. i think everyone is having issues with the resistance cable, but i've read a lot of trouble with the green one. i went to walmart and bought a set that is like rubber tubing and i'm loving it.
  • 1. my clothes don't fit so i get to eventually go shopping all over again! 2. i can do REAL pushups... multiple ones, in a row!!! 3. my thighs are beginning to have a gap between them and they are so muscular 4. a lot of my belly flab is gone and one day i'll see my abs! 5. i can wear a sports bra and feel comfortable…
  • my butt is sore from workout 9 and 10!
  • i suggest only weighing yourself once a week. i know it's hard, i used to be a scale junkie too, but it is so discouraging. hide your scale and only bring it out one day a week. also, water is critical to weight loss in my opinion - a lot of times we are thirsty but think we are hungry...
  • i tried body fortress super advanced whey protein in vanilla and chocolate. i think i like the chocolate better. they have it at kroger and cvs - it's $21 for 2 lbs, i think.. oh and 140 cals, 23 g protein, 3 carbs (i think!)
  • i didnt know that either. i guess i missed that part. so workouts 11 and 12 are done for 3 weeks??
  • oh, also, in workout 9, she tells you to do dive bombers and say she'll show a modification in a minute, but she never does. i SUCK AT THOSE. i had my husband video tape my workout today so i could see what my form really looks like and i'm terrible. i feel like some of the actors have junky ones and people like omar are…
  • after all the plans and push ups in 9, i'm like "why do curtsies with 3 lb dumbbells hurt?!?!" those are supposed to be LIGHT weights haha. you're almost done!!!!
  • AWESOME JOB guys!!! my husband is not very good at measuring accurately so i know i've lost at least 7 inches and about 7 lbs. I'm excited to take my after pictures though because I looked at my before ones the other day and my thighs don't touch as much that's for sure!!!
  • when i feel hungry, i try to drink water and see if i'm just thirsty. i drink around 16 glasses of water a day and maybe one can of diet dr pepper... up your water intake and see if anything changes!
  • i did cardio 3 for the first time today. the exercises are only 20 seconds, but each circuit is about 9-10 minutes, so you're doing A LOT more exercises. the time between exercises is diminished significantly. there are some easier moves so you can catch your breath, but you do crab kicks, plank moguls, burpees to the…
  • i like jillian. i think she is focused on extreme weight loss and will lead people to lose large amounts of weight fast. i don't know why 1200 is the "magic number" for everyone; i try to never eat below my bmr.
  • i know a lot of people are following the meal plan which is 1200 calories per day (after the workout, usually netting around 1000) - i watched a youtube podcast by jillian talking about starvation mode and how that depending on how much weight you have to lose, your body can handle going below 1200. i don't know how much…
  • patience grasshopper! i know you say that weighing less is important to you, but changing your body should be important too. i know everyone says you can't gain muscle on a deficit, but then i wonder how do programs like this cause strength and definition. is it simply by removing fat that is on top of the muscles? i am…
  • i would like reiterate what someone said before. one pound is 3500 calories. if you are working out and following a meal plan (either BR or your own) and weighing or accurately accounting for your portion sizes, it is IMPOSSIBLE to have gained 6 lbs from food in the past week. THROW THE SCALE AWAY. just last week, i felt…
  • ha! i swear, we have the same brain. i'm thinking about doing chalean too. i already joined a support group on here. i'm just worried about expanding my dumbbell collection - she uses 20 lbs in each hand on some of the moves and the dumbbells she uses that you can change yourself are like $250!!!
  • haha! i like this one too
  • ok i take back anything i said about workout 9 being the hardest. workout 10 is, ha ha ha.
  • in workout 9, you do so many pushups and other upper body, that the crabs are actually a relief. you dont work your triceps that much in the workout so its not too bad. its actually one of my favorite moves in workout 9.
  • hahahah! craziness. workout 9 is definitely the hardest in my opinion. maybe 11/12 will be easier because it's the end ;)
