  • I have not adjusted my calories, but whether I log exercise or not, I’m almost always eating so that I’m losing or maintaining. I will have to take a look at how my calories burned are stacking up compared to weeks ago.
  • I do log my calories and 90% of the time I eat in deficit, even if not exercising. However, I have not readjusted since my exercise schedule has changed.
  • Good luck! I hope that’s the case for both of us!

  • Thank you. That scale is my nemesis.

  • Yes, logging every day. I’ve lost major weight three times in my life (using calorie counting and walking), so I’m not new to this and I’ve been successful before. It’s just harder this time.
  • Well, not measuring necessarily, but I know my body routine. A year ago it was an almost daily thing to “flush”. This past month it’s gone 3,4,5 days. Once I hit the 4,5 day mark I take steps to help.
  • I have a super slow metabolism, so often if I have a week where things aren’t moving along, I help my body out (if you get me). Unfortunately, it’s been a weekly thing lately. Even after that there was still the same weight. I often track on my cheat days, but this time I did not. So maybe it’s a legit weight gain, which…
  • Thanks. It is very frustrating because my loss has been super slow and I feel like I’ve gained back all I’ve lost...even though it’s possible that it’s not really a gain. I am definitely going to look into the app and see if that finds me comfort.
  • You don’t think that the lack of change over a week is concerning? I do exercise mildly, but stick to my calories regardless.
  • @cassward I wish that’s all it took! :-p
  • @RunForPizza88 that’s crazy, but great!
  • @cmriverside I had it set at 2 pounds a week, so I lowered to 1 and changed to lightly active. I really want to just be done with it in a couple of months vs double the time.
  • @pinuplove are you trying to lose now? I always wonder if I’m smaller than I think and really don’t need to lose anything. However, my thighs need a lot of work.
  • @cmriverside , I believe I’m set up for 1 pound a week and sedentary (I have an office job, so I didn’t want to claim more than I knew I was doing).
  • Thanks, all! I will perhaps adjust my calories AND track my cheat day (limit to one). I do NEED one day a week for pastas and ice cream :).
  • I am not keeping close track on those off days, but am tracking closely the calories on the days I stick with it. Should I go down to one “off” day?
  • Yes, I'm breastfeeding exclusively. I don't plan on dieting since I have to watch what I eat for an intolerance in the baby. I'm trying to keep up with water but life gets busy :).
  • Central WI :)
