Variety is the spice of life! If your burning a lot of calories, fruit is a good source of energy if balanced with protein. It can give you that boost for the second half of a workout.

Give you props for working out indoors in the first place. I get outside whenever possible no matter the weather. I started riding my bike just to squeeze in a workout during my commute! Now its a great workout any time. Keep trying new stuff you'll get your groove on somewhere. Aerobic videos help keep other people…

My trick is simple. I track my calories for the day and then exercise my butt off. This earns me more calories for later in the day, usually leaving me with plenty of calories left over. For me its better than starving. I'll just go hungry on days I don't exercise. God bless

Always been amazed by those individuals whose HR's are naturally low. Took me awhile to earn the raised eyebrow of pulse takers in my life (nurse practitioner, phlebotomist, doctor, etc). There is a bit of pride in having them say, "You've got an athletes heart rate", "good Job". God bless

What a remarkable and amazing triumph for you. I get a little lump in my throat when I see changes like this. It is like a person coming back from the dead, a resurrection of what God has intended for you. God bless on your adventure. Truly enjoy your life and new and changing body. WONDERFUL!

this is so awesome. I do about 100 miles a week back and forth to work, with the occasional long way home. Never figured out how many miles I do but it has to be somewhere in the 2000's. The biking starts in early March and usually ends around October. Do the math I guess.

Ana makes some good points. Whatever you do just kinda under the #'s if you know what I mean. You don't want to give yourself too many calories and be disappointed when it comes time for weigh in. Have fun and enjoy! R_Sheets

I have a 9.5mile mostly flat commute one way. Early morning (between 5-530am) on a good day will be under 33 minutes. The ride home is trickier with heavier traffic. That racks up about 35-45 minutes depending on time of departure. Busy RI roads and unwary drivers keep me on high alert! .

cardio should be concentrated on hills and upper body endurance weight training should grduate you to pulls ups and then hand over hand on the hanging monkey bars good luck
