I teach Concealed Carry classes and part of that curriculum is situational awareness. I have taken that teaching and introduced into my Taekwondo classes. Never too young to pay attention or too old to learn something new.

This exactly! Volunteer to teach some of the intermediate skill if there is a group in that category. I learn so much more when I teach.

I regularly spar with my instructor and sometimes we like to get pretty heavy into it (were both big guys (I'm 6ft 315 he's 6'3" about 280) I have certainly beaten him in a point sparring match a time a two but I have no question that he could end me in a matter of seconds in a real fight. Sometimes people are just dumb!

I loved My Diabetes ed class, I have heard so many people say it was a waste of time but I learned so much! Just like you I liked to hear from those that had been there and all the nurses that taught my class were also diabetic so that was helpful too.

Yes a bed time snack helps keep the liver from dumping excess sugar while you sleep. It made a huge difference in my fasting numbers as well. I usually have Aunt Millies brand 35 calorie whole grain bread with some peanut butter.

I couldn't take it any longer so I called my Doctor and told them I needed my A1c number for my last Diabetes Ed class tonight (they call it a class reunion). In February my A1c was 11.8 it is now 5.7! I'm pretty pumped!!
