I think it's a good tool to keep yourself moving forward even if you don't follow it as intended. I've been completing the early weeks as instructed, but finishing off the 5k at my own pace after I finish the workout because some of the later weeks look like they're pretty big jumps. I'm doing it on a treadmill and some…

^^ Thats REALLY weird. I'm usually pretty far off my macros so I've never noticed if mine add up properly to my calorie goal or not.

No I didn't know that actually, thats kind of interesting. But Im not talking about nutritional info on the packages though, I'm talking about my actual diary entries adding up to different totals than those displayed at the bottom where they add all your entries up. I've also previous noticed weird things where if I hit…

No. I don't think many adults display the hyperactive component as far as jumping around and stuff. Our brains stay hyperactive, we stay impulsive, and fidgety - not really bouncing off the walls physically. Though I have wondered if the amphetamine medication speeds the metabolism or not. It definitely helps with the…

You could add me, but i don't sort my diary into meals so its probably confusing... and I'm not a complete health nut, some days most of my calories are from junkfood :open_mouth:

what does the nutritional label say? go by that.

Working out 6 days a week and getting 10-13k steps a day seems more than "lightly active" to me, ESPECIALLY if those workouts are not on a treadmill where your workout would contribute to the 10-13k steps. 1200 is way too low, I think you should bump it up to 1500. The BMR calculator says if you were in a coma you'd still…

Perhaps its better to think about ways to make your favorite "bad" foods better for you! So I just went to check out the different foods you're talking about. There was no cholesterol in tortilla chips, corn tortillas, salsa, vegetables, or guacamole. I actually think avocados are good for lowering bad cholesterol so take…

I get that it seems really silly, but i feel like a 50% difference in calories is a pretty big difference when you're trying to properly weigh your food :(
-
Because the label doesn't give a count for how many servings per container, and the label just gives the weight for the serving size after its been air popped. But I use a pot and a tablespoon of oil to pop so that weight doesn't apply to my popped corn. And 50 grams of airpopped corn, would weigh less than it did as…

Its not microwave popcorn that I'm talking about. Its the orville brand popcorn kernels that you can pop in an air popper, kettle, or pot.

Ugh, Stop torturing yourself! The only thing that is REALLY going to make a difference to your weight is how many calories you consume per day. Outside of getting enough protein to maintain the amount of muscle you already have(or enough to help you gain more if thats part of your goal), it doesn't matter where your…

Well yeah if you're building muscle and losing fat. Ive had the opposite problem. Losing pounds but not inches. Some people can lose 20 lbs and drop 2 dress sizes. I lost 84 and dropped 2 sizes.

Hahahaha you guys are right on with the nuts, cereal and peanut butter being depressing. Cheese is a tricky one! Grated cheese is like a jackpot and a chunk of cheese looks like a joke. The packages of pre-grated cheese were on sale cheaper than the blocks this week and the other day I was weighing out an ounce for my…

What are you making in your actifry? My familys had them for years and all we use it for are chicken wings and french fries lol.

Weightwatchers lets you eat fruit and veggies (within reason) for free, because allowing them to not be counted encourages people to eat them and make better food choices. What bothers me about WW is that they can't seem to make up their mind about their points calculations. They've had at least 3 different points systems…

I'm a lifelong binge eater. I have no doubt that I've exceeded 15,000 in a day many times. I've finished a kg of trail mix in 24 hours a couple times and that alone is about 5600. Its no surprise I ended up here.

I honestly have no idea about breastfeeding or how many calories it burns, but it seems like your calorie intake is really high for someone aiming to lose weight, especially adding 400-600 calories on days when you're only adding 10 to 15 minutes of exercise. Even 1900 seems high unless you're really active or…

1200 is pretty low. Being that restricted works against you. It severely limits what you can fit into your daily calorie allowance and makes it really hard to stick to long term and in real life situations. It will also slow down your metabolism as your body learns that its only getting 1200 calories a day to fuel it. That…

I want to feel more comfortable and less unattractive. I want the option to shop wherever i want, I cant afford to buy plus sized clothes. I want to have photos to match my memories, instead of being mortified and hiding when cameras come out. I feel like such a failure in life, I want to ACCOMPLISH something.

well im currently 5'9 and 186.5. i burn about 2500 calories a day according to my bodymedia device including my daily walk whether its inside on the treadmill or outside. I lost about 60lbs in a year, got into a relationship for a year and stopped dieting. since ending the relationship a few months ago, I've gotten back on…
