Well first of all commendable achievements and your pictures are awesome!! I find that with CrossFit, I needed to add cardio because I was gaining weight in my midsection, which is my trouble zone, so I have decided to add HIIT training and running in addition and only restrict CrossFit to 2-3 times a week. I only started…

I'm in the same boat currently! Thinking of adding more cardio as well.

I am still maintaining 138 since August but have lost more inches since then. I added C25K and C10K to my routine along with Jillian Michaels. Recently, I upped my strength training and the scale is going back upwards. :noway: ..and in a weird way I am learning to live with that :flowerforyou: ....I may never be 128…

Thx Sarah! Good Advice. I added more strenght training and though the scale has moved up a few lbs, but I decided as long as I am losing inches (which I am and quite a lot since my last post) that's all that matters

Thanks for the insights :) I appreciate every single post! Good luck to u all :flowerforyou:

How much did u up it to? I tried that and I gained 5 lbs and i am freaking out! I currently weigh 145.5 again after going down to 139.5 and MFP had me set up to 1370. I manually changed it to 1470 after calculating my BMR and TDEE & upped my food intake to 1600-1800 depending on my exercise burn and I am 5'1.

OMG 1400 casl each! That's crazy...I find that MFP helps me shed some light into what I am putting in my mouth and makes me think twice. My first eye opening moment was when I was out dining the first time and I entered my food. My entire dinner was more than my daily caloric allowance!! Needless to say, I ate half of what…

I too am a JILLIAN convert! Have bought most of her DVDs & expecting 3 more from Amazon.com. I completed 30-day Shred & I'm on day 60 of JM'ing :D I have lost over 12 inches total & 9.5 lbs. I am ecstatic as I watch my body transforming. When I started Shred, I thought I was dying doing her 22 min workout. Today I did 2 of…

Thanks for responding guys! Ripped in 30 is a DVD by Biggest Loser trainer, Jillian Michaels.. Google it/YouTube it and u can also read reviews on Amazon. I completed her 30-day shred and lost 12 inches total and 7 lbs. I look forward to losing a similar amount of inches on this one :) So far, I have completed day 2 and I…

It varies how many cals u burn but for me it was always around 230-250 depending on intensity & level. I used my HRM to determine cals burned. As of yesterday, I completed shred and here are my results: Began on 02/21/12: Neck: 16.5 inches 16....on 03/12 15.5 03/22 (-1 inches lost) Arm: 13.... 12.5... 12 (03/12) 11.5 03/15…

Hopefully this is the motivation you need: I didn't love level 2 and 3 either but I took my measurements and it helped keep me motivated. Not to mention my lovely MFP friends all were awesome on those days where I felt like giving up. I don't think there is a prescription to do it any certain kind of way. I found that I…

Thx :) No I am not diabetic. But definitely need to discuss with my doctor and get a full blood test done. Good advice!

Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone! I found out that I had pressed the Set button by mistake during Zumba, when my HR was 140 and it the resting heart rate stayed at 140 when I started my next day exercises. No wonder it was showing that I was not burning enough calories during my subsequent workouts! Imagine my…

From one shortie to another, I totally hear you!! I too am 5'2. How did you lose 20 lbs in 2 months?? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I have a Mio petite drive heart rate monitor and the resting heart rate seems to be stuck at 140 which doesn't make sense. I did 33 mins of dancing today and it said I only burned 58 cals which I know is not correct. On MFP it says 33 mins of dancing, general equals 169 cals burned. Any ideas of how I can fix this problem?…

Completed day 5 today; Defintely was easier than day 1-4; legs wayyy less sore. I noticed DS workouts have helped me perform better at zumba. My first check in is due on Tuesday. I always feel so ENERGIZED after her workouts & usually follow it up by some other type of activity :) I may need to take a break from DS twice a…
