Wondering how I enter that into the exercise diary? The workouts we do everyday vary ....? Any suggestions?

I used to enter it in based on what the workout entails, but mainly I would just use "circuit training" and enter in the time of the WOD.
You're not going to be able to accurately track it though, unless you wear an HRM, even then....just estimate.0 -
I use an HRM...and enter it manually as "CrossFit w/HRM". Probably not exact, but a decent estimate:)0

I usually track my crossfit sessions as general aerobics, or circuit training as well. Like everyone else says, you can't really track it as it's so many varied exercises. But make sure you don't overestimate what you think you're doing. I never really claim to burning over 300 or so, unless it's a REALLY tough WOD.0

I do calethestics- heavy jumping/pushups whatever.
It's just easier.0 -
I was using circuit training but recently i started tracking CrossFit with an HRM. I start it at warmup and keep it going for the whole hour. It's been hovering between 325 and 350. I'm a 31F, 5'5 and 138 pounds.0

Do you use a wrist HRM or an around body type? I'm wanting to get one, but figure the wrist one might be in the way at some points.0 -
I have a Garmin Forerunner 110. I set it for indoors and wear the wrist piece and the HRM chest strap, which goes around my breast plate (right under the breasts). I haven't had a problem with the wrist piece at all yet, but I did get a little concerned about the strap today (we did stones). I didn't take it off though and it turned out to be fine.0

Happy to help! I must say, I use the Garmin for CrossFit and running and it hasn't let me down yet. It's a cool toy.0 -
Is a HRM a heart rate monitor?0

Is a HRM a heart rate monitor?
Yes. I love my Garmin, but there are tons of options out there. Since my CrossFit WODS have been extremely varied lately, it's really the only way I've been able to get an accurate read.0 -

That's nice.
I estimate my calories off of my running . I know and trust that RK and this site can come pretty close to an accurate number given my weight, pace and distance. Crossfit is a bit tougher than that, so I upped the calorie burn a bit and created my own category.0 -
I too use an HRM & just got an APP called SUGAR WOD, it's awesome! It allows u to log ur PR's & WOD of the day Sort of like MFP 4 CrossFit Then u to back and compare ur progress.
By the way, I am looking for supportive CrossFit buddies. I am just getting started. Add me if interested0
