  • You're doing the wrong kind of ab exercises. Sit ups are fine, but they work such a small portion of your abs. Try planks (hold the starting position of a push up for 30 seconds and increase time as you get stronger), ceiling stomps (lay on your back with legs straight up towards ceiling then lift your hips up so your feet…
  • It's hard to tell and sounds kinda strange. When you do pilates do you hold your belly button up and towards your spine. If you don't do that your belly will start to bulge.
  • I was just reading an article in a fitness magazine that said whole grain cereal should be a part of your every day diet. Just make sure that you are eating whole grain and, perferably, one without sugar listed as one of the top 3 ingredients.
  • If you are truly hungry...EAT! You need to listen to your body. Generally when I feel hungry I drink 8oz of water and wait 10 minutes, if I'm still hungry I eat. Often we mistake hunger for thirst or boredom.

  • You have to do it for yourself and stay away from the people that tell you you are crazy for wanting to get in better shape. I am in no way fat, I'm 5'7" and 133lbs. I'm smack dab in the middle of the average BMI, but I have flab that I am trying to get rid of. When I hang out with my bigger friends (who tell me I'm…
  • You can add fish oil and flax seed oil with minimal calories. Or, you can substitute nuts for one of your sncaks to get the healthy fats.
  • Rumor has it that exercise first thin in the morning is best. You supposedly burrn more stored fat since you have no food in your stomach...though I can never work as hard in the morning. Work out when you are most comfortable doing so. I try to do it right after work because that is when I tend to get the munchies. An…
  • Without ever doing the video it's hard to day. I have Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I just log it under aerobics.
  • Very few, but they increase core muscle strength which will eventually increase your metabolism. Strength training is necessary. Keep it up!

  • I have always heard that the calories burned were about 10% too many. So when I eat back the calories I don't eat 100% back. Also, if I feel I'm not working as hard as the "average" person for one reason or the other (having a 6 year old with you) I always cut the duration down when posting my exercise.
  • We "waste" a lot of time brushing our teeth. I do squats and/or balance on one leg while polishing my pearly whites.
  • I find it extremely difficult. The strength training options on the site don't match what I do at the gym.
  • It won't harm you at all.
