I think he was just trying to prove a point. You must watch your calorie intake. He is a nutrition professor, surely he knew this wasn't a "healthy diet", but he still lost weight and improved his overall health.

Eat your calories, including those extra from exercise. Look at the "newbies" must reads. Lots of very valuble info there and really a must read to understand why you need to eat all the calories. Good luck to you! You will love this site, it is a huge help.

go to the community site and the first thing listed is "links you'll want to read...again and again." Very educational and very well explained answer to your "do you eat all the calories?" question. You can learn a lot from these links. Hope they help you as much as they helped me.

Found it. Didn't feel up to too much exercise, but also didn't overindulge with any food. Staying on track. Thanks for being there for all of us.
