  • Thanks... I keep telling myself it will improve in time ..... x
  • Hadn't thought of that..... calories would be increased and I wouldn't have to record activity.... Thanks x
  • Week 6 day 3 this morning. Was ok... but I ran with earbuds and music for the first time... zumba music so good steady beat, but I don't know if I liked it. I just felt like the earbuds were distracting and a bit annoying. Anyway I managed the 22 mins but only covered about a mile and a half in that time. I am so slow. The…
  • Well done xx
  • Week 6 day 2..... can't believe I've gotten this far! Two 10 min runs but the first one paused so I just kept going..... I don't know if I did 15 mins!!. second stretch was a little easier but was knackered after..... big one next.....
  • Thanks - I keep chanting to myself when it gets a bit hard... "slow down, you can do this, trust in the program...."
  • well done!! ...... how did you measure it? My c25k plan only does time, not distance.... I have to open mapmyrun at the same time to get my distance..... Its my next run...
  • I don't run with music, but I may do for the big 20min run.... It may help keep me distracted. I may also run somewhere else......
  • Thanks.... I'm not too worried about pace, but I really would like to know that I can run it in a decent time..... Have done week 5 day 2 twice, as I am scared of the 20 min run that is next......
  • Hi Guys, week 5, day 1 this morning..... found it ok, but need to improve my pace if I am going to do a 5k in under 40mins. My plan is showing that I am doing 11.5 min miles at the moment, so I am hoping that with more running and less walking, this will improve. Only 4 weeks to the race...... I hope I can do it. Scary to…
  • Week 4 day 2 today. For some reason it hasn't logged it even though I completed it and did a little yay! when she said workout complete..... can't believe I chose a run over breakfast in bed.... I feel like I am doing ok but I have to learn how to accept being slightly out of breath. I feel sometimes that I could keep…
  • I start week 4 tonight.
  • I'm waiting for it......
  • Dreadmill..... I recently started using the gym and use the machines after my c25k... I have always found it hard to run outside. I hope that by the time I can run for 10 mins or so I'll transfer it outside...
  • Day 3 of week 2 done.... even managed to run for another 30 seconds on top of the last 90.... we'll see how the start of week 3 goes on Wednesday......
  • I did week2 day2 tonight. On a treadmill, I have always had trouble running outside and getting out of breath. However, so far it seems to be doable. I'm jogging at around 6.5/7 km per hour and feel like I could carry on for a little longer than the current 90 secs. I am still wanting to take it one step at a time…
  • Wine or cider is my tipple.....mmmm
  • just bought a digital one at lunch!! I'm hoping it will be more accurate than the one I currently use, and It's small so I can bring it to work. Most of what I eat is usually weighed at home, but there are occasional times...
  • Thats a good point. I have manually changed my daily goal to 1600 (TDEE) so will not eat back any exercise cals. If I can keep to around 1400 through the week, it does give me a little extra to play with on the weekends.... good thinking!!
  • I will deffo try to be better on the weekends...... will have to tell the boyfriend to stop coming home with wine and treats..... 125 was a weight I was at a long time ago.... to be honest, the way things are at the moment I would be happy to get down to under 140!!
  • good point, I tend to take the word of the packet as you can't really weigh stuff when you are out and about or in work....
  • Thats what I thought 2 weeks ago..... but I would have thought that since my last loss on the scale, and now the increase, I'm not so sure it is TOM related.
  • Thanks. I don't use a lot of butter and stuff, and generally do use a teaspoon or tablespoon for jams etc. but I will start to weigh them. My eggs are a medium size. And the roast dinner - I tend to have the same size as the kids but again, I guess I will have to individually log the items.
  • That was my fear...... even though I still track everything............... and it's what we used to eat a few times a week before I started MFP...
  • I was just using MFPs calculations before. As for the walking, had not walked to work since last year, so it was different to the usual routine. But I can see how it will become normal as the weather improves.... I try to walk some in the evenings or weekends also.
  • day 2 tonight, I tried to run a little last night on the treadmill, but my legs felt like lead.............. so did a 10 min fast walk and then upped my weights with the machines. Lets hope I can get through tonight..
  • I'm just starting the C25K plan (day 1, wk 1 last night) I'm doing the Cardiff one with my daughter (13) as my dad has had oral cancer twice and we are lucky to still have him. I was very surprised that I could actually run for a full minute - I know it was on a treadmill, but still, it's a start...............
  • I'm a newbie... Did day 1 week 1 last night. Been going to the gym for the last few weeks, doing a warm up on the treadmill (incline and fast walk) And then doing the weight machines to build my strength. My 13 yo daughter wants us to do the race for life in July so i should have enough time to learn how to run for 30…
