I already avoid lactose, and try to keep gluten intake as minimal as possible... thanks for the ideas though.

I'm just over 5'5 and I was 143 when I started MFP. My goal weight is 128, which I reached and then lapsed a bit back up to 130. I actually think I look just fine now, but I am 36 and have a kid, so it's a different stage in life. 120 might be low-ish, why not get to 125 and see how you look and feel? You could be 125 with…

You, love, are a total inspiration, thank you so much for talking me into trying this tool. The journey has empowered me, and given me hope, where before I started it seemed to me that uncontrolled ballooning to overweight->obese was my only possible fate. It's not, thanks in large part to you. Oh, and did I mention you…

I did this one day, with only grapes and yoghurt. It tastes amazing, grapes are a very potent fruit. THere were a lot of skins, but they were small enough to go up the straw, and I just chewed them up a little before swallowing.

very good. I like it.

Just do better tomorrow, that is going to be my strategy... And maybe a post-baby-bedtime-workout. If I can scrounge the energy.

Better luck to you, try hanging on to your good feeling, and reminding yourself that if you un-lock the fridge, you won't feel as good...

Yeah... I don't really know, nobody MADE me do it, it was something like a reward to myself, but I don't exactly feel better now. Ate a tomato salad for dinner, since I'm out of cals. I usually eat small treats, like 5 or 6 pringles, for example, but today I just didn't stop eating them when I should have.

Just under 5'6 with a small frame, and am aiming for around 128, pre-baby weight. But really, if I weighed more and had less bellyfat I would be happy, I would just like to be narrower when viewed from the side, than from the front ;)

Yes yes yes, yumminess!

I find the alcohol makes it easier for me to just blow off the diet and eat snacky hight-cal things, but I also find it super comforting to have a nightcap at the end of a long long day. So... My rule when night-capping: one drink no food. Does it always work? No.

Yes, mine is 3 at this point. I had a smallish pregnancy, but lost almost none of it in the first year after the baby came, maybe 8 lbs of the 30. Then my life got tougher when my partner left and I basically started gaining slowly again. I joined MFP when I hit my top pregnancy weight, with no baby on board. In general my…

I'm just shy of 5'6", and I am aiming at 128-133 ish. I don't know what I am supposed to be though.

Gosh that's tough... I moved and that helped me a lot because I connected with a group of people that were just my friends, but of course that may not be an option for you. But one thing you could do is try to connect with people you didn't know when you were married. Other moms are good because they understand when you…

For my weight, it's more like 200, I need to eat 1650 to maintain, and 1450 to lose 1.2 a lb a week. I admit that this is a new experience for me, I've never had to watch what I eat before, and only since having a kid 3 years ago have I ever had difficulty managing my weight. I've actually had quite a bit of trouble even…

I don't actually have to lose that much weight (maybe around 15 lbs or so), so yes, I was aiming at around 1/2 lb a week, but trying to build better eating habits by using MFP to track and and observe both what I eat, and how regularly I excercise.

I drink 1 or 2 a night, but try to make sure that it doens't push me over my calorie limit. That said, this is probably not the best idea. The problem is that on a limited calorie diet, if you're using up a bunch of calories on alcohol, then you don't get to eat as many healthy foods, and you may come up short on essential…

Yes, you have the right to your opinion, and I have the right to think you're stupid.

One thing that helps me is that if I snack between meals, I force myself to enter in the calories I'm about to eat right BEFORE I eat it (like from my phone). Then I look at where that leaves me for the rest of the day, and this often helps me decide not to eat it. Also, this rule is such a pain, it's often not worth it to…

New discovery as of yesterday morning: I have a VERY picky eater. My mom gave us a mini-muffin tin for christmas which has been sitting around for months. I was using up some leftover pancake batter (bisquick) and just added a couple tbsp of Hot Cocoa powder to the batter, and a little baking powder too. Put it in the…

Mmmmm, careful, sounds like the blues or maybe mild depression. I'd say worry less about getting on the hamster wheel and do something active that also connects with people. Go for a walk with a friend, or hold each others feet while you do situps. But trying to flog yourself into being motivated when you're down is a good…

Hi, I'm Alexia. My son Jack is 3 1/2, and it's been just the two of us since he was about 9 months. That's about when I quit working out, coincidentally. Turns out you need some serious time management skills to get everything to fit in, in this game! Anyhow, I have been gradually gaining weight ever since, and when I got…
