Grapes in a smoothie???

I wanted to make myself a smoothie for lunch today, but upon inspection of our refrigerator I discovered that my kids had eaten all the fruit except for a handful of cherries and some red seedless grapes. I know cherries will taste great in my smoothie...but will grapes?

Has anyone ever tried grapes in a smoothie? Will the skins break down? Let me know peoples! Thanks!

I've never tried it, but aren't cherry skins the same or thicker than grape skins? If those break down ok, then the grapes should too...

    Freeze them first.

I always throw a few grapes in my smoothie... I love grapes and it adds a little different taste. I really don't see how it's any different than any other fruit for smoothie reasons.

Well, I have a Blendtec so I can even put seeded grapes and pits and cores and cell phones in my smoothies and it all comes smooth.

I did this one day, with only grapes and yoghurt. It tastes amazing, grapes are a very potent fruit. THere were a lot of skins, but they were small enough to go up the straw, and I just chewed them up a little before swallowing.

I put green seedless grapes in my smoothie all the time, and I don't freeze them. They get liquified in my regular blender just fine.
