Saw someone from work today who I haven’t seen in a while - she nearly walked past me. She was in shock when she saw me 😊

Mine hasn’t worked since the last iOS update. Fitbit seems to be working okay & MFP is working okay. They’re just not talking to each other!!

I am 226 today (was 240) so I have lost a stone in UK terms. There are another 6 to go to reach my ideal weight. I want to be on the lower end of normal BMI for me - to give me wiggle room to fluctuate up and down without breaking the bank. Plus I was recently diagnosed with what is termed 'essential hypertension' and have…

Awesome advice right there ^^

I have similar stats too, so I’m thinking about the same thing. But many congratulations!! You look awesome!!

Yes, probably directly weight related. The headache been the worst it’s been today. Saw Dr who started meds. I’m probably stressing with work too & I have post-grad school exams coming up, but Dr thought it safest to treat rather than wait to see if I can lose weight (she wasn’t suggesting I couldn’t but with stress she…

Not been a bad day diet & exercise wise. BP been up a fair bit. So much so that my 2 week wait to see if dropping a few pounds would help has been kicked to the curb. Couldn’t get in to see the Dr today so will try Thurs. a colleague GP I work with says its best to treat rather than wait-so I’ve had a thumping headache…

I have 140lbs to lose.

If you’re dizzy & unwell it’s usually due to dehydration & lack of electrolytes. You need to make sure you have enough sodium & fluid intake. Lack of both causes the headaches & dizziness. Stay topped up with fluid & add in an isotonic hydration (you can just add a teaspoon of salt to water - it shouldn’t be a huge taste…

I’m doing low carb. I’m not sure it is ‘keto’ exactly but I try to stay below 25% carbs per day. I don’t eat sugary foods anyway. I have just cut out all refined carbs, fatty & starchy foods. I’m staying with meat, fish, eggs, green veggies & salads. I have polycystic ovaries and insulin resistance so a low carb diet tends…

This is exactly what I thought. I think it might be easy enough to just bookmark this discussion & return to it to update each day maybe..?! I’m doing a low carb CICO approach right now. Not exactly ketogenic but not far away. I’m averaging around 20-30% carbs per day which works better for me as I have polycystic ovaries…

UK too. I’m in Warrington. Happy to be added, or add people.

Same here. I used the app in 2013 & lost 42lbs but then I broke my ankle (running) & it all went out the window. Same story too few friends & so it is just me & husband. He’s pretty supportive although only a bit overweight whereas I’m 236lbs at 1.6m tall (5’6). I would like to reach 9.5 stone (133-135). People say that’s…

Ha! So that's what they're for! Pleased to say, I said "No, thank you" too. My colleagues even tried to talk me into it but I still declined :)

For Jan 2016 I clocked up 153 miles

Am liking this thread! :) 1) A belt that didn't fit me now has only two notches left before I run out of holes! 2) I can hold a plank (or two) longer than I thought possible! 3) people are starting to notice & are asking what I'm doing :)

Hi. I've lost 16lbs since Dec 26th (I didn't wait for NYD). I started at 223 & I'm now at 207. I've passed my first goal of 215 & onto the next. I'm doing 6 week baby steps until next Christmas. My aim is 130-125, so I have 70-80lb to go. This should take me to the bottom of the healthy BMI range. I developed a heart…

Favourite part? Masochist that I am.... jumping jacks & jump rope!! Just because first time I did this DVD (before fracturing my ankle last Easter) I found them both excruciating. I cannot do a single push up at all... so modified it stays! As for Jillian, I love her no nonsense attitude! "I have 400lb people who can do…

Pre-shred workouts. I'm doing 30 mins static bike on level 2-3 intensity at 14-15 mph with Wii Fit 30-45 mins advanced/super advanced aerobic exercises. I'm also lifting 5lb strength exercises & resistance band training.

I'm at the stage where people are beginning to notice a little weight loss. I have an added dimension in that I've previously been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer... so, often the conversation goes a little like this... Enquirer: uhm, ah... Cath, you're not...?! You know...?! Me: I'm not what?! Enquirer: Well, uhm...…

Apparently beetroot is an energiser! Watched a TV programme a few weeks ago where they tested a girl on a treadmill & she could go further for longer after the beetroot juice!

My charge nurse uniform is far too big

Tri is a LOT of work. I've done half IM distance & it takes guts, determination & iron will so kudos to you sir!

Congrats! I have reached my first mini-goal too :) 223 down to 210 today!

I have a similar story. I was diagnosed with aggressive triple negative Breast cancer at 32. I had surgery radiotherapy & chemo & was told none of them may work & I may still die. I was given 2 years max to live which is hard when 5 mins before that conversation you had your whole life ahead of you. In one conversation…

I'm not sure what classification of obese I was/am but I've gone from 227 to 213 (14lbs or a UK stone) which I'm pretty please with. I still have 6+ UK stones to lose (I think it translates to roughly 90lbs+). Feel free to add me :)

I shouldn't really be friends being from Lancashire and all .... ;-) But do feel free to add me
